UK Anime Christmas Sales for 2024 [Anime Ltd's 12 Days of Xmas + More]

My second order placed at 1.30am today has shipped, my day 2 order still hasn't. There must be a problem sourcing one of the items as I have seen people getting most of the other items in my order.
 
6/7 of my sale orders have shipped apart from my day 1 larger order so idk if they is an issue with an item or wether they are literally doing easy orders first - hopefully it gets dispatched before Christmas as i really wanted to watch a particular series in that order
 
Last 50 minutes of the sale and only now realising I forgot to use my 10% off code so are there any good titles I should snag now before the sale ends?
 
I was gonna make an 11th hour order for Gundam 0083 along with something else (BOGOF). It has gone "sold out" earlier in the sale, then came back into stock with this:

NOTE: This title is undergoing a reprint - any new orders placed for this item WILL NOT SHIP until January 2025

So I didn't want to add it to another order, delaying the rest. When I checked today, it had gone back to "sold out" with that note above still there.

Debating on getting Lupin Part 6 CE as there’s apparently less than 15 sets available and no clue if there’ll be a restock.
My final last-minute purchase of the sale, as both had under 15 units left.

Guess I ain't ever getting that Lupin 6 CE. If they'd put it down to £30 I'd have caved but £50 is still too steep for me, I think that's about what the Part IV & 5 CEs cost me put together. RIP that collection.
 
Wow they actually used UPS for my second order as well (Germany). UPS is even worse than FedEx and their service charges are ridiculous. I think this was my last order from them for the foreseeable future unless they open a warehouse for EU customers or finally just implement IOSS. The high shipping costs plus the ludicrous service charges of certain carriers basically destroy all savings one can have even during 12 days of Christmas sales (18 EUR for shipping, nearly 17 EUR for UPS service fees and then the VAT itself is just too much).

We been crying out for iOSs support for a long time at this stage it’s likely not going to happen, perhaps shipping EU orders from AL France would make more sense?

Can confirm how horrible UPS is.
I'm currently waiting for them to actually deliver my day 2 order. So far I've received countless of emails stating they're about to deliver the package "today between 9:00 and 13:00" since Wednesday but I doubt that they'll actually deliver before some time next week.
However they did sent me the bill for customs clearance (I was surprised to deduct that they only charged a bit over 6 EUR for that... the bigger annoyance were the taxes themselves as of course the order exceeded a net worth of 150 EUR so those came up on top of the regular 19% VAT).

Still haven't heard back from AL about the shipping charge for the EVA box though.... I assume that order will be long shipped before they actually get to my email...
 
All the stuff I ordered from Anime Limited sale has come now. It was a bit disappointing, to find all the mystery box contents didn't come in a individual box like the previous years. But at least it was all protected with all the bubblewrap :)
 
Not been posting but stalking this thread for a bit, overall I'd say the sale was good but jesus christ they stretched it no? I was well and truly ready to say I'm done after that LC w/ the Seed box and then they just kept dropping more and more.

Also wouldn't mind them to be upfront with the mystery boxes next year and at least state if any have dupes inside, if I had bought blind w/o that glitch I'd have probably ended up with 60-70% dupes from the last 2 years.

Got most of what I want, missed out on the Persona movies and the 4k Your Name LE but I don't believe they're particularly hard to get second hand.

I just received my Your Lie in April and Outlaw Star CE in perfect condition from Royal Mail/PostNL. Very happy with that, especially after receiving the damaged Black Lagoon CE I bought before it went on sale.

Like others in this thread, I've had bad experiences with UPS. Really preferred FedEx. And now customs has been holding my large order this entire week because UPS is missing information. They are asking for a EORI and a VAT number, I immediately asked AL customer service for these but they haven't responded yet. Any other EU customers having this issue?
 
Does anyone know if the cancellation team take as long to respond as the regular customer service team? At this point it is looking unlikely that my order will arrive before Christmas and it contains some items I bought for people so I think I will have to cancel if I want any chance of getting the money back for different gifts ☹️

Depending on size of order (or perhaps if there are any non-limited to procure), I think they may yet surprise with the despatch time: I’ve had several shipment notifications (both DHL and RM), and looks like there’s only one order still to ship.
Previous years have all been less rapid/responsive, and I would resign myself to January openings.

I have 5 different items in my order that was placed on December 2nd. I have noticed that many on here have received most of the items I ordered (Shirobako, Snow White with the Red Hair, Penguindrum) so I imagine it is one or both of the other items holding it up.

If they would just respond and let me know it will be after Christmas I could cancel and use the money elsewhere but if they are not going to cancel quick enough then it will be pointless anyway because I won't get the money back fast enough to spend on different gifts.

If you feel up to it, please do a story where you get to show off your entire collection. I am curious in general and it gives me an idea of how far I've come as an anime enthusiast.

Appreciate the feedback. Might be worth taking a trip through my blogs as I've been keeping that going since 2013-2018 via Blogger and 2018-present via Wordpress. There will be a complete collection overall update later this month.
