UK Anime Blu-ray & DVD Bargains

I've ordered Samurai 7. Even though I own the Region 1 set.

That show is SO damned good, it's worth making sure I have a copy that isn't subjected to the foibles of my crappy region hacked player.

Just noticed United Publications have Eureka Seven Complete Collection 1 and 2 for £12.50 each.
That's better, they were selling them for like £50 or something.

But, they charge postage, so it will probably work out cheaper if you get it from Zavvi

I believe that one can be filed under "sometimes he just posts random **** to be annoying, and won't listen to anyone/isn't being told by the right people to stop".
atleast im opening up some subjects for us to talk about
No... no you're really not. At least, not with posts like that. And the ones that you are doing that with do not make up for the ones that don't.

He's new to the forums, before the "he's been her a few weeks now" comes back i'll say this:

Some of us have been here for years, he's been here a couple of weeks now, we all know how things go and tend to get on (for the most part)

He's trying to fit in, albeit trying too hard (posting various topics and when one person asks another person about something he gets involved and replies as if he was being asked the question too). But i think he'll get there in the end. I'm sure you can understand what its like to be new and trying to fit into something isn't a simple thing for some, I'm talkin to you as a fellow poster (before anyone says anything might aswell set the record straight from the off)

@AF17, Maybe take some time to think of whats being said and why they maybe saying it. Don't be too discouraged to provide your topics to the forums but mate, some of them overlap each other so i can see from both sides of the fence, your trying to fit in and become a regular on a forum about something your obviously enthusiastic about but maybe your jumping into it abit too forward for some :)

Not really, any online forum or newsgroup I've ended up participating in I lurked for a good while at first to gauge the tone of the discussion and the attitudes of the regular posters before I started posting, never mind before I started creating threads (this used to be standard etiquette before discussion moved largely from usenet to more BBS-like forums that have evolved into what you see today, bringing in far too many random people who don't feel the need to have to particularly put any effort in). It's not hard to stop doing things when you're being told that they're annoying (within the confines of "things" being "stuff you're posting on an internet forum"), just as it's not hard to use capital letters and full stops correctly - people just don't care enough and assume they can carry on as they like. People who continue long term to do as they please generally fall into one category, for me.

@-Tachi- no your 110% right im i am a noob trying to fit in and such and everyone is different no one can exactly see 100% of what others see and hear but im glad you can understand and (most anime characters say this ) *il do my best* to meet your approvals of me and thanks for lifting my spirits up, caues i thought everyone on here thought i was annoying but you've made me feel i can be accepted for who i am

Sure there's a certain online etiquette to follow however, nobody is perfect. Things change and people learn to become alittle more laid back (for instance, you just wrote that out in a block of text, if things where as strict as they used to be then you'd have been pulled up about not writting in paragraphs)

To the bolded section, personally i don't mind too much on how people post. However, like you, i get annoyed at things sometimes too. Not for how they've posted it but more what they've posted. I guess its just a matter of taking the time to ask yourself the question "if they haven't written things out properly then is it really going to affect my life?" and "is it really going to affect me in any way?

Them not using correct grammar isn't going to affect me getting a job/buying a loaf of bread/whatever" In the end you'll come to the conclusion that no, it doesn't directly harm you or affect your life to any considerable amount. Which is why i'm so laid back about it, its not going to do anything wrong to me and its still readable so its not as much of a problem.

Don't take everything that people say, to heart. Its fine to be yourself, but remember that, as Ilmae said; there's a way to go about things. So just put abit of thought into how things maybe perceived on the forums and things should be okay.

At the end of the day people, its a forum. Is there really any need to gripe and knitpick over the finer details? And as i said before.... where the hells the sales? Your both posting in here, yet i see no sales posts :p help me out here i'm looking for something nice to watch (action or comedy bitte)

Personally I like having AF17 here, at least we get some life in these boards now! Hell it's even got me posting again and I had posted 4-5 times in the past 3 years!
