UK Anime Blu-ray & DVD Bargains

Went for both the When they Cry Collection and Familiar of Zero Collection also.

Something worth noting is that taking the Amazon Global Shipping route means you can use Amazon Vouchers which was handy.

All I saying is it’s funny. People constantly wanted MVM to get it and they did. And even gave us a Ce which America doesn’t have and people don’t care and all buy sentai’s

Bought Colorful and Vampire Hunter D separately to avoid the customs charges :) Have been after Colorful for a while, and almost bought Vampire Hunter D yesterday for £15 so even though it's not a huge saving I'm glad I held off

Have you met UK anime fans? "MVM don't put out the same type of releases as AL so **** them" seems to be the general consensus round these parts.
I, however, shall be supporting MVM and picking up their release, though not this month as non-anime blurays, videogame and vinyl preorders are eating all my cash this month.

I would like to support our uk anime companies but I had this release before mvm even announced it.

That's not the same. I don't expect people to predict the future, but the people that wanted a UK release now importing sicken me.
I don't know how to answer that because its quite an expensive set. I would pick it up if I didn't already have it but for that price I can't blame people.

It’s cheaper than Sentai’s original three releases. It’s only because Sentai has had it for ages they can put their complete set at that price. So people shouldn’t have ever assumed MVM could compete.

Honestly, I don't see it an an issue. The import crowd is small and niche, I'm sure plenty of people will still be pleased with a UK release. I don't even know if it's B compatible.

And everyone will whine next time there's an important older anime that isn't available in the UK and MVM pass because this one didn't neet expections.

If 4 people not buying the release and instead opting for the US one is enough to make the licence unprofitable, then MVM really need to invest in some risk assessment for their licence purchases.
