UK Anime Blu-ray & DVD Bargains

Regarding my scratched Astro Boy disc:

As I had a bit of time, I did my standard test for these kind of things.

Basically, I stuc the disc in my DVD dec and played through the whole thing in fast forward at three times playback speed. This is usually adequate for me to spot any playback issues. And I didn't see any, so I might be good.

I might give that disc a sort-of-kind-of-semi watch tomorrow while I'm working as well. Which will ruin those episodes for me. But at least I'll know if the disc is buggered or not.
You could try ripping it 1:1 on your pc. If there's any serious issues beyond the redundancy then it won't successfully rip. You could also burn a fresh copy to watch and keep the original disk just for when that disk expires. That's what I do with most of my rarer/more valuable disks.

Finally Blue Exorcist vol 2 Blu Ray came back in stock so I ordered all 6 volumes and the Love Live Movie also. Cost like £35 in the end :)

Cheers for the tip, man! I might give that a go - although I presently have no idea how to. I'm actually EXTREMELY technophobic!

Placed another order since the K-on seasons were so cheap, hopefully these get through without heavy fees, but at the price I paid it wouldn't be as bad (I hope ;))
Edit: make that two orders:eek::D

Just something that ocurred to me about the postal services being weird and wacky at the moment:

Remember those dirt cheap Arslan BDs that came up for sale? Well, I was the horrible sell-out who bought the two on Amazon listed for a fiver each or thereabouts. Like, within minutes of seeing the post here about them.

They still haven't turned up. But I seem to recall buying stuff from that seller before and it took an age to turn up.

@Jaysgba bought a copy of both Arslan Part 1 and Seraph Part 1 and had them arrive today. I assume you'll get them soon enough.

I also bought Seraph Part 1 and Arslan Part 1 for £5.75 each on Amazon. Listed as used, but new, still-sealed copies turned up today.

Just to (possibly) rub it in order #2 from Madman hit the UK at 6:30 this evening.

Final order tomorrow (#4) then I'm officially broke until the end of the month

Where do you see the tracking for madman orders? I can't see any tracking but maybe it's not avaivable for Finns for some reasons.

There's an email from Australia Post (tracknoreply@auspost.com.au) sent when the order ships. Even if you don't get a domestic tracking follow up you should at least get the initial despatch notification

my order that was "despatched" from Sydney on the 9th still hasn't reached the UK. This is getting a bit annoying with everyone else and their grandma getting their orders.

I just got an email saying my madman order has landed in the UK so hopefully those of you with outstanding orders will get the same email soon (if you have order update notifications on.) I'm guessing they ship out multiple orders at once in bulk to save money so I'd be surprised if the outstanding orders from around the same date won't also be in the same batch.
