UK Anime Blu-ray & DVD Bargains

More for those who have part 1 (which I assuming part 1 will be discontinued) and for them to get rid of stocks of the part 2s before they are discontinued replaced by just the complete set.

What's the deal with the movie? Is it a recap of the series or it's own thing? I own the series and if there is nothing new in the movie then no point buying really, so I'm curious.

First few episodes with new scenes not seen in the series all condensed into a film. I quite liked it but I'm a bit of a T&B fan girl ;) I'd say go for the set at 12 quid if you really liked the series cause the release is real nice! I'd say it's a bit of a bargain given the overall quality of the set.

I've not actually watched the series (which is kinda silly considering I paid about £100 all in for it as it came out), but you make a fair point, what's £13 now days. Think I'll grab it, thanks.

Chipboard artbox edition of Shiki is available for £14 via United Publications USA at limited stock!

Blu-ray [Region A & B] and DVD [Region 1] combo pack.

Your link actually says this is the S.A.V.E. edition of Shiki and not the Limited Edition.

Read further...

When citizens of a secluded village begin dying off in alarming numbers, the sole hospital's head doctor tries desperately to save his patients. But his efforts are in vain. Entire families are wiped out while others desert their homes. All hell breaks loose as the villagers discover their loved ones' corpses are rising from the grave with an insatiable thirst for human blood.
Haunting, hallucinogenic and unnerving to the core, Shiki stares into the hearts of both the hunter and the hunted. Who is safe when the urge to kill in order to survive blurs the line between man and monster?

Limited stock with chipboard art box.

Contains episodes 1-22 plus episodes 20.5 and 21.5.
Special Features: Episode Commentaries (1, 12, 18, 22), Preview Featurette Volumes 1-9, Textless Opening Song, Textless Closing Song, Trailers.
Spoken Languages: English, Japanese, English subtitles.

That's the one I got when Shiki first went to S.A.V.E (had to clean some gunk off with a green label that had to be removed, but otherwise it's the LE). I thought it was criminal that such a show flopped so much that the LEs went to SAVE, I think it's twice as criminal now that after that this, that there are still some left.

I would imagine some of the poorer selling shows with limited edition artboxs will get repackaged as S.A.V.E. releases before the official S.A.V.E ones. When I ordered the Shangri-La S.A.V.E release it came with a chipboard box with two dvd cases inside.

Oh well, fate decided for me. My address and CC details need to be updated. Rather than being able to change them in realtime you have to submit them for someone to manually update their systems. How very 20th century....

On the bright side, they've never been hacked. :D
