Ha! This is soooo funny that this is now the deal of the week as my bf pointed to this in HMV saying "that". He wanted to watch it purely for its cover :p

I might just have to go ahead and buy it now :)

I bought it, but only because I already had the Spanish version which had Portuguese subtitles, but the subs are a mix of Portuguese and Spanish, and are awful. I'd rather sell that version and get a version with English subs, which are bound to be, even if not great, less awful :p

I have it... but haven't watched it.

I've skipped through it to get a rough idea of what it's like, and it's definitely better than the DVD. Of course the DVDs that we got here was an NTSC-PAL conversion, so the 24 fps Blu-ray does away with the conversion artefacts. But be aware that it is an upscale of an SD source, and it is never going to look HD short of reanimating the whole thing. It is smooth though, and with very little visible compression (Except for episode 3 which has a weird aliasing thing going on). The big draw for me is the lossless audio, HD audio Pillows for the win!

Madman's Gosick part 1 and 2 DVD releases (Region 4, sub-only) are down to £18.04 (plus p&p) apiece on UP1. Probably due to the complete collection priced at £37.50 that's coming out very soon.

Edit: Back up to their normal price of £37.50 now.

Funimation have reduced some of the SRPs for their products so here's the list via UP1.

Ai Yori Yoshi: Complete Season 1 & 2 - Classic Line - DVD ~ Region 1 - £21.60 UP1 UK / £18.59 UP1 USA
Princess Jellyfish: Complete Series - Standard 'Limited' Edition - BD/DVD ~ Region A/1 - £19.20 UP1 UK / £16.48 UP1 USA

.hack//Quantum (BD/DVD ~ Region A,B/1) will be repriced by $10 soon.
