Wow play is really trying to get rid of all anime lolol

I might go and just buy trigun and thats makes the third buy of the day from Play lol

They're clearing out the warehouse before going marketplace only. It's not just anime. I saw Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles Season 2 Blu-ray on there for a smidge over a fiver this morning. It's £14 now.

Bought Canaan for £8.99, suppose a PAL DVD at that price beats the £40 720i Bluray.
I added Tales of Vesperia BD to my basket @ £7 and by the time I got to checkout it was back up to £14.72.
Ever so slightly annoyed...

 What a bad luck. I had problems with my order of Canaan but i still arrange it so it could stay the same price but now i see that Tales of Vesperia has gone up and if I have the same problem with the card, I will tell them to use the new card I have used for another dvd. They dont have an option to edit orders and so i cant change the card number and if i have to cancel the order, i will not buy the movie cause the price has gone up already .

But hey Mangaranga, did you buy ToV anyway or did you cancel it?

What a shame. I think it was a good deal since the release came out one month ago. (28 jan i guess)

EDIT:
http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/39275682 ... fer=search

CANAAN IS ON STOCK AGAIN SELLING BY PLAY!!

No one, but no one will buy at anywhere close to RRP. I went for it at £15 though. But e-tailers have to slash to shift it, and I guess that this will be 101 Films only foray into the anime market.

But it seems like small retailers who are discounting it - Given that they can't have bought in quantities anywhere near that of Amazon or the likes, what the hell was the wholesale price they paid per unit? And if it was that low and is selling so poorly, why aren't the big retailers discounting it? It just seems like a complete anomaly.

As for why only the small retailers, perhaps, one independent shop decided to go cheaper so they were chosen instead, which resulted in everyone lowering their prices?
