The News Thread (for news that does not need a thread)

I'm waiting for more information on the new Macross series that Sunrise is working on besides the fact that they're going to start holding auditions for casting.

Received an email from Bookwalker saying Bookwalker Global is transferring ownership from "BOOK WALKER Co., Ltd. in Japan to a group company, M12 Media LLC, based in the USA."
The link on the Kadokawa companies page for M12 MEDIA takes you to the J-Novel Club website.

Seems like a reshuffle to whoever has the best ability to deal with it. Since JNC are Kadokawa owned themselves, I doubt it will make any real difference on the consumer side.

That's surprising. Shows that stream on Hidive usually vanish into obscurity after one season. Maybe there's hope for The Executioner and Her Way of Life after all..........?
Call of the Night's manga was extremely popular and it was greenlit for S2 relatively fast, so not too surprised there. I would like Executioner S2 as well, but I definitely have way less hope for that all things considered.

86 getting a sequel was potentially being held up by the key staff being held up in the hell that was Nier. There's more that goes into what does/doesn't quickly get a sequel than what we see at a glance.

Cheat Skill I felt was more or less along the lines of several other series in terms of plot and quality. Certainly, I am looking forward to the TV special and the potential S2 (if that's real and not just mixed up with the special that was officially announced today).
