which of these are fan service anime?
I know So I Can't Play H is by noticing the cover art (I've placed it in the Overseas Thread) and my guess that H ends with entai.

BTOOOM! has minor fanservice and Say I love You isn't.

Girls und Panzer has Tank fanservice.

The rest are most likely fanservice.
So I Can't play H is sub only though... I'm under the impression AF is a dub purist for the most part.

Can I just say it's about F***'n time that we start getting sub only Blurays from Sentai.
I will definitely be importing Sakurasou and the Kokoro Connect OVAs, assuming that I do indeed buy the series which Is very likely.
I'll also be 99% likely grabbing Say I Love You, and strongly considering Humanity has Declined and BTOOM!
Of course, all of the above come way after the most important release of December which is Aniplex USA's release of Fate/Zero :3

I know I shouldn't really say this, but I'm sure I already have so what the heck. Is nobody else concerned about how quickly Sentai are getting titles out after the Japanese release dates? Surely this will have some sort of knock on effect although I doubt it will be as extreme as the Persona 4 situation over there. It's still kind of worrying.

I can see what you mean by worrying, by meaning that one of them could possibly be 1080i or has a slight defect in a similar way to Kids on the Slope (in fact they delayed Medaka Box just to fix some issues with the product).

Other than Fate/Zero Season 2, I thought you'd get Wolf Children CE from Manga in December unless you're planning ahead and purchasing the Funi version by the looks of it (heck Funi's version is always the superior version a majority of the time).

Not sure if this is new or I just missed an earlier announcement but MVM have officially announced Fate Zero for next year.

Story

One for my list for next year.
Welp, so much for that. Expensive Aniplex box or bust.

This confused me for a bit, given your not normally known for tolerating Aniplex prices, I thought it might be the no BD confirmation but on the basis they've not said either way I think it'd have to be MVM.

What I can't understand is why, sure their cover arts a bit bland but I don't recall them dropping any clangers like we've seen Manga or Kaze pull, if anything they are a bit reliably boring.
Well if you want a really badly mastered disc with video that was poorly converted from NSTC to PAL such that the audio is buggered then sure, MVM all the way.

to be honest i like sub and dub so it doesn't matter to me

For those who were wondering about the Deadman Wonderland release, there were comments that the Japanese dub was censored in the Funimation release.

The UK version will also have the censored Japanese dub, as I have asked Manga UK about it.

The Japanese DVD/BD releases are the same (as far as I'm aware.) So ours will have this too. ^JG

Swear words are bleeped on the Japanese track if I remember correctly. It happens occasionally, even the uncensored version of Seitokai Yakuindomo has some bleeped language remaining. Who knows why? They could be left in for artistic or comedic effect, or they just forgot to remove them, or maybe some of the seiyuu have a "no swear" clause in their contracts

That's correct, I was looking through the Fandom Post forums to see how pissed people are for us British to get the Blu-ray release and I noticed that they were complaining about the Japanese dub being bleeped in their release.

Just Passing Through - Question about the R1 DVD. Does the Japanese audio track have dialogue bleeped out as in the original broadcasts/streams?
consignia - As far as I remember, yes, it's bleeped. It's been a while though.
ChibiGoku - I remember hearing the F bomb dropped on the Japanese audio in English, unbleeped on FUNimation's streams (which btw, are the censored tv version).
consignia - I'm pretty sure it was Japanese words bleeped. If my memory isn't failing me, it's in the video evidence used in the trial in the first episode. Again, my mind is struggling here.
It is uncut and uncensored regarding the video, examples of Episode 1, 2 and the OP here.

Or rather anyone who releases anime on DVD in the UK, seeing as they all use PAL masters from the same companies in Australia! Except Khazi who go the extra mile to bugger up their discs all by themselves, and there's Manga, who create PAL masters when there aren't any available in Australia as in the recent Cat Planet Cuties, and then people complain about the chaptering and the subtitles...

And aren't MVM the only company in the UK currently releasing NTSC discs when no PAL masters are available?

I have never understood why companies make PAL masters of NTSC video. NTSC plays fine on PAL machines so it seems like a lot of extra work for no gain and sometimes even a decrease in quality.

So Bebop sold about 1500, Totoro about 1300, Naruto movie 900-1000ish (with pokemon and akira somewhere between those 2).
There were 2 things between Naruto and Yamato, and 2 things between Yamato and 520 sales.

Excellent news about MCM Comic Con expanding up here. I know quite a lot of people going this time round so the interest is there without a doubt. I'd love a whole weekend of it!

All I know is the sound on Space Pirates was freaking well off and that's the end of the matter. Had I bought that disk (over renting it) I'd be foaming at the mouth.

Sentai Filmworks is counting down something important - ETA 7pm Tonight

Gainax's next big project Blue Uru is now planned for 2014. For those who don't know what Blue Uru is, it's the long awaited sequel to Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honnêamise which back in the 90s was altered to become Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Meanwhile, Miyazaki's press conference is to be streamed live on Nico Nico.

Previews of Attack on Titan for the Nintendo 3DS.

Kick Heart to screen at the BFI London Film Festival.

In the US Toonami, Evangelion 2.22 managed to draw over 1 million viewers and Kick Heart (the surprise showing) drew over 700000 viewers.

And on Rightstuf, Gurren Lagann BD-Box Import is No Longer Available for Purchase. It doesn't matter since the All the Anime version is literally exactly the same in terms of watching content (27 Episodes, Sub only Movies 1 & 2, Sub only Parallel Works which if I remember correctly the AoA version hasn't got them subbed)

Where'd you get that from? I thought NGE shared some DNA with Nadia, but I don't see any particular resemblance to Honneamise.

Edit: Wait no, I get you now - elements of the story for a Honneamise sequel were incorporated into NGE. I read that as 'Honneamise altered to become NGE'

Well it wasn't altered, but parts of it went into the show when they planned to make the sequel and ended up being postponed.

"One of the key themes in Aoki Uru had been "not running away." In the story, the main character is faced with the daunting task of saving the heroine … He ran away from something in the past, so he decides that this time he will stand his ground. The same theme was carried over into Evangelion, but I think it was something more than just transposing one show's theme onto another …"
