I'd be okay with like, a typical "Let's go to the beach" filler episode before returning to the main story, but a whole arc?

In JCs defense(i'll never say this again, promise). Daihaseisai hasn't finished in the manga, so by that they can't really go ahead and do the whole arc. I don't expect it'll finish in the next 2-3 months either, so it's a tough one to work with. Again, i should have expected to see this happen when they moved the misaki segement to before the sisters arc.

There are still about 6 chapters left of The Sisters Arc to cover. If J.C. Staff had stuck strictly to the manga, they could have easily made it into a single cour series. I would have preferred that to be honest. Heck, even with the scenes added in from Index and whatnot, they could probably still finish it in two episodes as it is.

Pokémon XY
So they are now categorised by their chromosomes amongst other things. Which other properties shall these multifarious monsters come to bear? Blood type? Handedness? Preference of Monster Munch flavour?

Amazon.com's page for Black Lagoon: Roberta's Blood Trail lists Maryke Hendrikse and Brad Swaile as two of the voice actors. Which means the English dub is set to be a stellar one.

This isn't so much news, more of a question. Sentai created a new dub for Grave of the Fireflies, and their release contains both English Dubs as well as the Japanese dub.
I know Studiocanal's release only contains one English audio track, but which one is it?

Just in case someone might have still been in denial about Gundam's purpose being about selling toys, Sunrise has drilled a nail into that coffin: Gundam Build Fighters.

The story is set in the near future when GunPla Battles, competitions that pit Gundam plastic models against each other, have become popular worldwide in the "Second GunPla Boom." Sei Iori (pictured above), a first-year middle-school student and the only son of a model shop owner, is talented at building GunPla, but inexperienced in the GunPla Battles. He encounters a mysterious boy named Reiji who happens to be an accomplished Gundam Fighter. Together, they strive for the GunPla Battle world championships. Sei's customized GunPla is the Build Strike Gundam

The new series will premiere on TV Tokyo this October. The anime will tie into an HG Build Fighters model kit line that encourages customization with the accompanying HG Build Custom line of accessories (that itself is pretty cool).

Daisuki have also opened their store.

I take it you hadn't seen this before, then, Josh? :p

Daisuki's store is of significant interest, however.
Yeah, I had heard that there was a short OVA series. But a full series now?

Shame the Daisuki store has a limited range atm.

I'm not sure i think this is the best course of action for Gundam at the moment. I think they need to move away from the series that look like they are aimed at kids and get back to being more....you know...Gundam. What's going on with Gundam Origin? Is it due out at some point next year or not? Now that i want to see, this not so much, especially after Gundam AGE. it was good, but just not for long enough.

Knowing where Gundam is right now, given AGE couldn't stop being the one year war once again even with Level 5, you know the people known for turning things like this on it's head, at the helm, it's probably canceled.

Damn, the app requires iOS. Will have to hope they make an Android or a PC viewer before I can subscribe. Cool that it's finally available in the UK though.

It took them two (two? Let's be generous and say two and proably something less generous) years to get all thier ducks in a row.

And they still **** it up and make it apple only.

I just want to give you my money, Viz. Why the **** do you make this so ******* hard?!

I don't like those wuss-ass punk air quotes over that "soon". That looks like a "soon" that will be still "soon" this time next decade.

Well two can play at this game, *Cancels Kaze dvd oreorders*
