There's a refurbished 1000 series on eBay being sold by eStocks for £20.99 if that helps you any. If you want rid of your old one I might take it off your hands :)

There are places that have it for crazy prices... for example amazon.com has a marketplace seller offering it for $440...

I ordered a copy about 6 months ago from amazon.ca when they had it priced at about 29CDN... the order is still waiting on stock (I won't cancel it on the off chance they get some stock in plus 30CDN these days is about 15 quid so it may even avoid customs.

But if there are other places that have this then I'd also be interested.
 
Yeah I found out that they come with the volumes. "Box 2" is readily available too. That conundrum has been now sorted :) (unless I want to have box 1 to house the first half...)
 
Suppose that's part of the issue with buying old second hand multi-part volumes - I've certainly run into it on more than one occasion where I'll pick up the majority of the volumes for a quid each, and then am stuck without two parts because I don't want to pay over the odds for them - though worth mentioning the only volumes I really buy these days are old ADV ones where the title isn't available as Region 2 discs elsewhere. My general ballpark figure is that I never pay over £2 for a volume, or £5 for a series I really, really like. I don't think I'd ever pay more than £10 for an individual volume second hand - which I suppose is ironic as they probably retailed at double that when they were new.
 
Been waiting to come across a Natsume's Book of Friends Season 1&2 Premium Edition Set for a year now and saw it listed on ebay. Someone outbid me in the last second. :lol:

I wish eBay would extend the time if someone bids in the last 30 seconds.

I guess I'll hope for it to turn up again (someday)

Someone just bought all three Three Kingdom Blu Rays for £110. :eek:

I was watching both of those items. I had maximum prices I'd be willing to spend and both of those went above them lol

Same. Was so excited, when I saw I was the top bidder with 3 seconds to go and then the bidding went stupidly high lol.

Both US and UK versions are still available (UK release was DVD only), but if you want the US release you can save a bit of cash by using their US site (the stock still comes from the UK, it's just that you're charged in dollars and not pounds).
