Oh man, just checked out Denden Town in Osaka. So overwhelming! Super Potato's selection of Retro games and merch was incredible. I swung by Animate too, managed to avoid buying anything immediately, but I'll be back.

I also went to Wakkoqu in Kobe to try Kobe Beef. Best beef I've ever had hands down.

That was one slight regret for my holiday, the tour didn't spend that long in Osaka itself, only one night. Give it a year or two and I will be back.

Anyhow some random pictures:

Love the pictures. I will have a holiday in Japan, just saving for it will take a while but i am determined. I would also like to do a couple of days in Hong Kong as i used to live there when i was younger and i'd like to see how it has changed.

I'm finding getting into gear to do my first TMA quite hard, in knowing what on earth to write to answer the questions asked :(

Doesn't help not feeling well, both physically (slight cold) and mentally (mind is all over the place currently)

Just trying to recover from the jet lag.
How exactly does that feel? I have always associated it with the frenetic, globe-trotting types to whom newspapers dedicate much of their print.

(In spite of my penchant for avians, I have never flown.)

Your body thinks it is say 10pm when your brain is saying it is only 2pm, so it is making you feel tired (and grumpy)

It hit me a couple days back.

After spending all week rolling around in various degrees of pain, I would suggest that anyone who questioning whether to have gallstones should strongly reconsider.

Throughout Monday I assumed I had merely pulled a back muscle overnight, but after finding myself violently sick and hypothermic in the early hours of Tuesday morning, I was admitted to hospital where tests discovered a 5.5mm gallstone trying to make its way to my left kidney. I was discharged on Wednesday evening before commencing shockwave treatment to try and break the stone on Thursday morning (which has to be repeated in a fortnight). The near-constant cycle of pain medication and antibiotics I am currently on has left me rolling on the sofa feeling sluggish since I was discharged.

When I was in hospital, I was told by my doctor that the pain I felt is the closest man can get to childbirth...if I was a woman, this would have talked me out of having children. On Wednesday night, I was awake every two hours buzzing the nurses for more pain medication; even morphine couldn't keep it at bay for long.

That sounds really rough, gallstones scare the **** out of me. Hopefully you're feeling better.
Since being discharged, outside of feeling a bit groggy due to the meds I've fortunately been fine so far. When I was in hospital the nurses were pretty insistent on me reporting any pain, regardless of how minor, to get on top of it before it escalated.

Speaking of which, I think January's Ajin: Demi-Human might be the first series in a while to be forcibly cut by the BBFC. At least if it sticks closely to the manga, there's a scene in which one protagonist tells another protagonist that hanging oneself is painless and then encourages him to hurry up and try it. I can't see them letting that go through.

Also, does anybody know what the deal with the Ajin trilogy of films and TV series is? Is the TV series an extended remake of the film(s) or do they follow on chronically from each other?
