Three people had the displeasure of hosting a job interview for me today. One hopes my presentation of myself wasn't too incomprehensible.
F*** 'em in the head with knowledge about the company that not even their most enthusiastic employees/ers know and wear a good suit, and you're on the right road to take the job. That's what happened with me. :D

Good luck matey.

In other news:
I'm actually impressed by Lady Gaga's new stunt - putting her foot into the political world. I had always thought she was a little outrageous and unique (especially when the meat suit came out), but this is quite a positive change to her lifestyle.
Instead of wasting food, smelling like a carcass and declaring it as a meat-eat protest performance, she hasn't done anything spectacularly wierd and went on to make a damning protest against silenced homosexual soldiers. (Argueably, you could say her in that suit was a bit quirky/unusual...)

I have to say, I have a better view on her atm. Not that my vision of her being both forms of the term 'amazing' has/will ever change, but this is a better specticle in her celebrity career.

up chatting til 3:30 am this morn, get to sleep at 4, get a phone call at 8

"ryo can you come in, your supervisor has crippled yourself"

so from a half day to a full days work on 4 hours sleep

joy

Let us hope burning issues such as that do not leave you inflamed, Mono.

On a related note, I had to take a detour to a job interview today. A fire engine was rescuing a person from the top floor of a nearby office.

Fortunately, full precaution was taken. A traffic cone had been placed next to the service vehicle in question.

Good afternoon everyone, how are you all?

I have been up since one this morning, since someone set a caravan on fire which was a few metres away from my room

That... sounds a little scary, Mono. Hopefully it wasn't your caravan, was it?

I'm looking forward to a long weekend and a trip to the coast. Haven't been any further afield than Leeds since I started my current job back in May. Getting away for a few days will be good for me, I think.

Is it odd to be enjoying SQL and C#?
Nope, they are cool and if you get into banking software, you could make some really serious money with these.

It wasn't me. I swear!

Best of luck with your interview, man! I understand you'll be goign to expo, no?

Today I was having a great day until my friend semi-jokingly pointed out one of my big freckles on my arms, and I released it might have grown, though I may have forgotten that it was that size before, I am not sure.

So I spent the rest of they day worrying I had skin cancer because the last time I meet with the doctor about my freckles, he told me a growing freckle is generally bad. :(

(give me depressing topic and 9 out of 10 times I can obsess about it for several months)

Just go to the doctor about it dude.

I was a little bit scared and the caravan, I didn't know who it belonged to and my next door neighbour said it wasn't hers even though it was parked on her side of the garage. Luckily everything in my side of the garage was fine :)

I've been given an offer for one of the posts for which I applied. (This occurred despite me pronouncing the silent "t" in the word "rapport" during the interview. What a faux pas!)

If I hear nothing back from the other job for which I was interviewed, I shall take it. In earnest however, this other position doesn't require me to commute by rail, and is for that reason somewhat more preferable.

chaos, I do plan to attend the Expo next month. I only need to sort out travel, tickets and an itinerary for the weekend.

The mystery of the burning caravan... at least neither you or your things came to any harm Mono.

Mine move. They fade away from one place and then reappear in another. They always have done, and as far as I know I don't have any life-threatening diseases (I'd rather not know if I did, personally).

Tach, is your Kayls into any of that 'geek stuff' we all love here? Just a thought, because I am thinking, why not bring her along to a meet, convention, or other such event? That way you wouldn't have to miss out on anything, nor would you miss out on time together. I'm sure every single one of us here would be welcoming to her and understanding if she isn't as into certain things as we are.

Just a suggestion, but I found it worked fine when I brought my wife to the very first AUKN meet. And the second, third, and maybe fourth too. :D At the very least it expands your options somewhat. :)

Good idea, but she was there with me on the first expo i went to, she went there to support me because i didn't want to go alone.

She doesn't like anime, was rather happy when i said i'm not buying it anymore, but at the same time alittle bit upset that i'm cutting things out of my life. Its alright by us both tbh.

that kinda sucks, but i guess it's alright if she's tried watching some and it didn't come off as good to her

on another note, me and my dad are getting ready to go to a local Battle of The Bands thing, a couple of my mates are performing so i'd thought i would go down and support them

Because you're the sole person who owns one, Stuart. It's not called "Solo" for nothing.

On a more helpful note, you could see if your card is valid at a local station. If not, a cash withdrawal may be needed. Most discounts available online apply in stations.
