On the topic of Negima... I was forced to watch it once, by an ex.....after the first few eps i was ready to throw the dvd player out the window. I'm lead to believe that the Manga is superior to the Anime, so i might pick it up one day, for the moment though i have my eyes on Hellsing Ultimate in HMV, its currently £7 per dvd, my local store only has I, II, III. I'm pretty sure that there's mean to be 4 in total (well according to amazon there is anyway). However MAL hints that there are upto 8 Hellsing Ultimates.
 
Kiss released a new album last year. I've seen them live in 96, it was an awesome act with lots of blood-spitting, fire-eating and loud music.

Oh, and makeup.

on the subject of Negima, i haven't watched the anime but i've heard loats of bad things about it, on the other hand i've read a good 10 volumes of the manga and it's fairly good, there's a shiteload of fanservice though

Somehow, this description brings to mind A&E on a Saturday night. Are you sure you went to a stadium and not a hospital by mistake? They are quite similar establishments.
 
Morning all,

I had a good evening, wieghing up my choices between going to the girlfriends house and getting a free chinese (and as a result, getting her throat infection) or staying at home with Rock Band, using a copy of my friend Leo's Passkey to allow me to import all the RB1 songs to RB2.

Guess which one i went for, Rock Band :p
Then a couple of minutes into playing Hysteria - Muse (awesome song) My friend Leo calls me and i end up on a call for 40 minutes, talking politics lol.

Having served its purpose, I'm taking RB1 back today and trading the £8 i paid for it for some anime lol.

I know I haven't been about much on here this past week... today will probably be no different. Getting very busy here at the moment. The first lot of late tax payers are starting to arrise and it's getting messy. ¬_¬

Hell yeah, i have a really good immune system to colds and everything else, but one hint of a throat infection and my immune system can't take it, i end up off work for a week.

Morning all. Kiss gig was simply fantastic.

Loads of people flying around, blood being spat, flame-throwers (?!?!), bazookas (seriously, I kid you not!) and awesome old school rock'n'roll.

I think they've missed only two songs in yesterday's setlist - strutter and forever - But when you have 35 years on the road and so many "classics", I realize it's impossible to play everything.

I am so immensely jealous of you chaos. I freaking love KISS and I would have pawned my Wii to get tickets to their gig.... well more than my Wii... pawned MY BODY!!

Did I forgot to post this on the upcoming gigs thread? I've bought the tickets last Saturday and it was not sold out. I reckon the organizers screwed up at promoting this, otherwise if I knew earlier I would have bought the tickets. I've only heard about the gig that week.

And now, this is the third time I've seen Kiss live. Twice with makeupand once without.

I found it far too girly and boring, as i've said before; after having to watch the first few eps i was ready to throw the dvd player out of the window for sanity's sake.

Just bought myself a haul of anime, i feel really bad because i only have £110 to last me till next thursday, and i've already spent £21 on anime, going to the pub tonight (another £10-£15) going out with the gf on saturday night (could be anything upto £20) out with uzzy on sunday (could cost me money, or it might not depending on what well end up doing, watching anime and playing rock band or going into town)

That should leave me with about £50 (£30 if i end up going to town on sunday) to last monday till thursday......oh sh**, just remembered i have my fone bill......B*LL**ks!!

Tachi, you seem to be better with your finances than some of the people who work here - some of the staff at our other offices get subs on a monthly basis.

As for Negima - read the first 15 or so volumes of the manga and watched the first series plus the Spring & Summer Special OVA. Quite liked what I have read/watched.

I guess I'm the only one too paranoid here? I don't feel confortable if I don't have at least enough money to live for a year without working.

I don't have the confort of jobseekers allowance though, as most if not all of my other immigrant friends. :/
 
Subs sound dangerous! I'm assuming you all work a month in hand then. Otherwise what's to stop people from getting a large sub and bolting for the Phillippines?
We have flexi time which is similar in a give and take sense of things. We can go home early and come in late when we want, as long as we work back the time else where.
I like to work overtiem untill I have enugh time to just take a day off.

The general rule is that you cannot have a sub unless you have worked the equivalent amount.

Also you have to pay for the sub - I think it is £10 for up to £100 and £20 for more than that. The £10/£20s go to the managing director (a nice little earner).
