The General Conversation Area

Well I'd be something like the Dandy DJ assuming we get that planet sized Disco Ball.

And yeah I've been phasing DVDs out of my collection for a while now. Outside of anime that doesn't have a Blu Ray release and was dirt cheap to obtain, and owning every existing classic Doctor Who serial, I actively seek out the best available edition of films I want to watch. Blu Rays are pretty cheap nowadays anyways.
We could rent a smaller yet still groovy disco ball if that's ok, the planet sized one I imagine we'll still need more time to save up.

I do get dvds as a fossil format, but haven't completely written them off, though the only anime I have on DVD is corpse princess (I will refrain from using the Japanese name as every time i think of saying it I'd want to say it as quickly as possible and pistol whip someone in the temple, you know, to get a sense of the series)

Yeah I don't see DVDs being phased out for a while, but their inclusion in anime Boxsets alongside the DVD feels like wasted space.

Right! Down to Truro Charlestown for some food & drink!

I would love a quiet wedding in a register office. Really don't understand why everyone goes for some date 18-24 months in the future either. @_@;

😄 😅 😆

I'm not a ceremonious person at all, and I don't like being the centre of attention. Aside from that, I don't actually believe in what "traditional" weddings stand for. In my opinion, they're too archaic - I don't believe in the whole "wife obeying the husband" and "the bride being given away by the father". In my mind, the ceremony should reflect the actual couple getting married - it should be an extension of who they are as people, rather than them just having a traditional wedding for the sake of it. Aside from that there's the cost - people spend ridiculous amounts of money on one day and in my opinion it's just a waste! I hate the stereotypes that surround traditional weddings as well - about it being the bride's "big day" and getting all stressed about organising everything. The stag/hen do's are also things I just can't be doing with. You also hear/read stories about arguments and family feuds and I just think, "is it worth it?"

I've never been 100% for getting married - I think largely it depends on the person, but also it would have to be something I really (in my heart of hearts) want to do.

Yeah what you envision as the stereotypical stag/hen parties I don’t understand. Would rather have a small get together that’s to be honest a pretty quiet and dull affair.
I just can't be doing with the whole "lets go out to get rat-a**ed wearing rude t-shirts and making absolute idiots of ourselves" thing. I remember when I worked for an embroidery/printing company a few years ago I was helping to do prints for a bunch of hen t-shirts and they ALL had something rude/dirty on them :rolleyes: it's just so cheesy and cliche in my opinion.

The rude shirts thing just seems puerile to me. Especially what some people manage to come up with.

I'd happily just sit out in the sun with a cigar and some booze and talk bollocks all evening, that's my ideal get together with friends when alcohol is involved. Keep that loud and overpriced club scene away from me (unless they're playing good songs anyways)

It was as typically unoriginal as you can imagine, just...:rolleyes:

Could never get into it. Between avoiding broken glass on the floor, trying to shout your order to the bar person over the blaring "music", dealing with k**bheads...no thanks, can't be bothered with it all!

That is pretty much how it is for me now too. Probably minus the alcohol, it seems I lack interest in it nowadays.

Hmmm, so Gendo is 25% suffering but 95% deserved? Also love how QB is in the corner as a question mark 😂 🤣

@Neil.T get's 100% of suffering but deserves about 20%

Scratch that he deserves 100%...
There's a few characters missing from this like Ken Kaneki that I'm not sure where I'd place
If I ever found a blank template for this (or someone made one hint hint) then I'd have fun filling it in

I'm gonna ask before I get way deep into Berserk, but where does gutts here? If it's black swordsman gutts I imagine he's high on both axis, hes just a dick to everything in that arc
Guts' level of suffering throughout the franchise is off the charts. I'd say he deserves like 5% of it for being a dick at times but he's a traumatised man whose life has been very sh*tty
