The General Conversation Area

I have to say though, it's not because I don't think its not worth it. It more like my shopping habits and the amounts that come with it are a bit.... extreme? And I have space problems, so I really need to get those down. I'm just trying to create some artificial force of circumstances there, which probably is a bit... questionable.
Through I do have a shared netflix subscription. (Mostly because of Violet Evergarden and me wating to catch up with Star Trek TOS.) Well, I don't actually pay for it, but the one who does gets his share of Anime an Manga through me and discounts, so it kind of evens out. I don't think I should start about mentioning how bit the ptw on that one already is... The result so far is, just about everything is stalled, because I totally can't decide where to start!

First World Problems Premium Edition.

Ah no, that's fair enough! ^^ To be fair I've used YT for as long as I can remember; it's just out of convenience - I listen to music on YT, as well as save tutorials for the Adobe programmes, so it just makes sense to me to watch clips/shows on there, even if they're not the best quality, simply becasue if I like it, I'll end up buying it anyway! I don't bother with Netflix simply becasue I don't watch enough T.V to justify a subscription (I mean like T.V dramas and films and such; I don't really bother so much). My DVD collection is literally animated stuff!

Aw, no. Really sorry to hear about the job. :(
Any other applications in the pipeline?

Re: forums. You picked the right one! ( I mean, I'm hopelessly biased, I admit, but... you know. ;))

Haha, regarding forums, I'm happy so long as people are civil and respectful of each other; the fact that it's an anime/manga-based forum is merely a bonus :) People here are passionate about anime/manga as interests and hobbies and it's great to see. I'm lucky in that my parents don't tell me to "grow up"; they support my interests in animation as an art form (I was going to study it in uni but I studied illustration instead). I can have a laugh here with people, but I also feel that, as someone who is wanting to get into anime/manga more into the future, I can ask for advice here and know that I'll be getting some useful and knowledgeable information from the pros ;)

Yeah, disappointed about the job, though I did get positive feedback - they said I interviewed well and my CV is comprehensive. The agency have kept my CV on file so they'll keep an eye out. Otherwise I've only made a couple of apps over the weekend; there really is a shortage of suitable positions at the moment. Unfortunately I have to take into account that, even though I drive, I don't have transport right now, so I'm having to disregard things I otherwise would be able to apply for on the grounds that I won't be able to get there! Still, gotta keep trying! ^^

Well, I almost got that shared subscription shoved into my face, because said person could not stand me fussing over CR guest passes. (He even gave me his, but he just fails to understand the thrill of snatching them while they are hot and by matters of some seconds. I wonder by I get thrills over that, but no video game ever manages.)
But Netflix' certainly has some nice features. Going from that over to CR had me cringe for a second while getting used to it. But netflix sure is having a good bunch of anime by now. Most of them are pretty exclusive too, like their home video releases (if there be any western release) are really on the expensive side.
Perhaps you could get a trial and just watch the anime stuff in that free month?

Buying a years Crunchyroll subscription in December has paid off for me due to the amount of anime I've watched already. I've found it to be better value than Netflix. Tempted to do the same with Funimation Now but I'm currently undecided.

Ah, shows how much I know about T.V/streaming/life in general XD Genuinelly didn't know Netflix aired anime series to be honest; I just thought it was mostly drama shows and films!

I've been living under a rock XD

Well, that's one option. I lucked into mine: I was a Xmas temp and didn't get kept on. Then, one time I was at the job centre, a staffer who'd helped me with my CV spotted me and told me that a position had recently come up at Markies. She said "It's for the womenswear section, but apply anyway: they might have something else available." And so they did. I got the same role again.

So you never know when luck will swing your way, Aya.

It sounds like a really tough jobs market just now.

Ah fair play :) Sometimes to be honest, it is pure luck. Right now my luck is literally: I'm a bald person who's just won a comb in a raffle! All I can do is keep trying; I can't do much more. I used to feel the pressure since my Mum can't work, my Sister doesn't work, and my Dad only used to be self-employed (currently part-time), so for years now I've effectively been the chief earner :S It is tough; in the past I've not usually been out of work for longer than a month, but it's been since the start of October. Granted I rested over the Christmas period (becasue I really was feeling ill and needed to clear my head), but man, it's been difficult!

I would often say to the people who worked on the women'swear dept in Debenhams, "I wouldn't work on that dept if you paid me a million pounds!" XD

@~AyaMachi~ sorry to year you never got that job.

It's okay dude, and thanks ^^

@~AyaMachi~: I've got my fingers quietly crossed for you in the job hunt. I'm sure we all do.

Many thanks @Neil.T , I appreciate it :) Something will happen eventually. I keep telling myself that things come about each day, it's just a case of it being something that works in my favour in enough aspects as to make it worthwhile applying for! I mean it doesn't need to be my dream job, just something I'll be comfortable in and be able to put money aside to save for a car again...
