Re: DenYuuDen (The Legend of the Legendary Heroes), I received part 2 today. Part 1 will not be here for a while as it has yet to ship (bought both from different places) but:
Part 2 came with a free tarot card packed inside, presumably a first press bonus. It's...ok. There is a gold foil border and it uses the anime art for Ferris. I wouldn't rush out just to get it. The card is numbered '2' so presumably part 1 comes with the first of the pair. The case also has a reversible cover but the cover art for both sides is the same picture (the back is all that changes).
It also came in a blu-ray case in one of those horrible cardboard DVD-height sleeves, so I'm hoping part 1 comes with a blu-ray sized artbox to encourage me to throw the poorly designed sleeve away entirely.
I can't imagine this series is going to sell at all in the US as I haven't seen any marketing at all for it (I had no idea what the bonus item even was until I received it
). C'mon Funimation, don't forget to advertise all your shows!

Not really ordered today, but it was dispatched today so it's noteworthy:
Puella Magi Madoka Magica Volume 2 Limited Edition (From UP1).
Why is this notable? The long, stressful series of events surrounding this pre-order. Basically, ever since I made the order in February, I have had £80 in my account (to account for postage etc). However, this past weekend I was driven into a corner where I had to give Mum £10 for petrol so she could pick up my little brother from his girlfriend's.
Since then, said brother has been such an almightly dickhead that he hasn't lived here since Saturday night (he's been staying next door). We've been short on money, so Mum hasn't been able to pay me back. I've been waiting for some money my Aunt owes my Mum to hit my account, but yesterday she revealed that she couldn't pay it in until Friday. For the last 2 days, my order was on "processing" so I was worried. My bank balance would only account for the £72, not the postage costs. I would only be off by about £1 or so, so I was hoping that despite me having no overdraft limit, the bank would let me go overdrawn (they do sometimes).
Last night I noticed the price of the set had gone down to £70. However, my account status still said £72. If I had got charged the £70 instead of £72, I would be able to afford it.
Today I received this email:
What is my bank balance now? £1.25.
(I think Hollywood should make a psychological thriller based on these events).

I love Josh's stories, though they do always make me want to tell his family off. You could probably have asked UP1 to hold the order for a couple of days, though that would have been far less exciting

And yeah, it was exciting (although not in an entirely good way), which was a nice way of distracting myself from the larger issues happening at the moment xD.
So you ordered yours from RightStuf then? (They're still honouring foreign pre-orders for Madoka aren't they?). In retrospect, I probably should have pre-ordered my sets from them, as there was also the panic of whether or not UP1 would get the releases now. While the price of the item + customs charges (if I get stung) more or less equals UP1's price, I didn't want to have to go to the effort of winding around Cambridge's industrial district to get to the hidden sorting office/depot xD.
