The Anime/Manga I Bought Today Was...

Patlabor: TV series (US BD) parts 2, 3 & 4. I've taken the plunge and ordered all three remaining parts together. I had to get them from Supermart (via Amazon) this time since All Your Music have bumped up their prices, but as I recall there was mention somewhere on these forums a few months ago that Supermart avoid customs charges in a similar way to AYM, so fingers crossed I won't get hit by the Red Card of Doom.

Red Card is for missed deliveries, it's the Grey Card of Doom for customs. I'm seeing them more and more thesedays :( , guess they are cracking down.

Just picked up my Durarara!! Aniplex of America Standard BD Set from the post office and I have the following Anime on order and hope to receive them soon:

I recently bought myself a region free BD/DVD player so I'm like trying to get all the Region A BDs I can ahaha

Nice pickups there, let me know how your package goes for RACS. I used them once and I noticed the value was reduced on mine so I'm curious if they'll do the same with yours since its a bigger package.

As for FMA CE, I recall that had some delay with shipping but I'm sure you'll get it in no time.

In other news, I've received an allowance of sorts so I can get some more sets if I wanted. Haven't decided what to get yet.

Thanks! Will definitely update you on how it goes with regards to RACs. I know RACS reported they had to wait for more shipments of FMA CE as not of all of their stock came in, not sure if the same happened for United Publications though.

I have Aldnoah.Zero Vol. 2 (AoA), Beyond the Boundary CE (Sentai) and DBZ RF Collector's Edition (Funi) on pre-order for Oct but didn't include them in my prev. list as they are yet to be released and won't be for a few weeks so I wouldn't expect them to come so soon.

As for monies, I have to wait until payday for more purchases, I hope to buy Viz's Sailor Moon sets, NISA's Cardcaptor Sakura and AoA's Nisekoi volumes as well as the JP Kara no kyoukai standard set and AoA's recalled outsummer release. I may also see what JP BD Boxes tickle my fancy - I am leaning towards towards either the Gundam UC 35th Anni sets, Jormungand or the GITS SAC special edition boxes.

Robert's Anime Corner Store, ideally the second best place for anime in the states. Like Rightstuf they also do sales on specific publishers, i.e. a few weeks back there was a 40% off Sentai sale.

So my AoT sets came today from RACS - i chose the FedEx option and it ended up coming to the same price they quoted me for it, which is fine. They put them in quite a large box and filled it with foam peanuts

I see, well don't be surprised if you get a letter a couple weeks later for Import Tax (which is what happened when I selected FedEx for PlayAsia).

I went with the cheapest shipping option and the set was in perfect condition. :lol:

Persona 4 the Animation - Complete Collection (Collector's Edition)

The set went out of print, Rightstuf confirmed there are no plans for more stock. Went with Amazon because I think UP1 relies on Righstuf for stock or something.

This put me off because the other Sentai CEs didn't go out of print, I figured this one wouldn't either and I am wrong, sigh. I guess it sold out sooner than later because of the Persona fans and the fact that it's the first US release to include Japanese audio on Blu-ray, which chances are may not be included again for a future re-release because of Aniplex (didn't they block Sentai from touching their stuff after what happened with P4A?).

I guess Beyond the Boundary might last because the price point is ridiculously more expensive than the other sets and I would've passed on it if it weren't for the fact that it's the only way to own the OVA and I don't think the UK sets will have it either. Haven't pre-ordered BtB yet...

Amazon still have some available with no counter so far. I guess you could use a Credit Card to get it then pay it off at the end of the month (if that's how CC works).
