The Anime/Manga I Bought Today Was...

I don't even have a local Ottakar's, let alone a .hack cutout, but anyway, talking of .hack//Legend of the Twilight, my vol 1+ artbox arrived on Saturday, and now of course I want the other two volumes. In the meantime, finally ordered the first volume of Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki OVA3 from otaku.co.uk, they still don't have it in stock but hopefully it won't be too long a wait.

Does yesterday count?

Even if ti doesn't I'm gonna tell ya anyways. ;) After joining the site yesterday I had a look at a thread "where do you buy your anime" or something along those lines and seen a recommendation for the movietyme site.

Managed to pick up a real bargian on the Zeta Gundam Ltd Edition boxed set which I've been scouring all over the shop for.

Needless to say I am extremely excited about finally getting hold of it. :D

Hmm...I haven't visited this thread for a while. I'm going to confess today that all my willpower was insufficiant to resist purchase of the Fafner Artbox and Volume 1. The anime's great, and I would have bought it anyway, but the box was too enticing for me to resist.

Just made a small manga order on amazon which contains:
Chobits Volume 7
Cromartie High School Volume 1
Cromartie High School Volume 2
and
Yotsuba&! Volume 1 (may i add thats its by the creator of Azumanga Daioh!)

Anyone else notice that ADV manga have got a UK distributor now?

Bought the Now and Then, Here and There complete box set. It's supposed to be rather good, at least thats what I've heard from the reviews I've read.

Ordered the second volume of .hack//Legend of the Twilight this afternoon (the artbox is demanding to be filled)- otaku have sent it out already so hopefully it will be with me by Thursday.

Let me know if they're any good! The anime is ultra boring and I think it's because there are constant (in joke) references to the manga. Different characters spew stuff like "if you want to know more, read it in the manga"! It's major annoying and I'm wondering if the manga is actually worth reading?!

Ordered some manga today (haven't had any in a while)- Fruits Baskets vols 6-10, Tokyo Mew Mew A La Mode vol 1 and Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden vol 1.

i bought the third book of the Chobits manga, partly out of curiosity and partly to help with reviewing the anime. the storyline is getting deeper and darker and there are a couple of shady new characters who seem to have have some funky gothic looking clothes! it's looking good so far - here's hoping the anime does it justice :D

I got Elfen Lied vol.1 and Gunslinger Girls vol.1 + Artbox and Cloth Poster (which looks alot like a tea towel :D ) I will probably start watching them this afternoon.

.hack//Legend of the Twilight vol 2 arrived today (DVD, not manga); I've just ordered volume 3, which will make this my first artbox to actually be filled completely.

After what seemed like an interminable wait (thanks to the postal strikes in my area), my Paranoia Agent Limited Edition finally arrived yesterday afternoon. The artbox is great quality, not as thick as their US counterparts but still very sturdy and for the bargain price of £14.99 I can't really complain.

I've just finished watching the first two episodes, brilliant stuff, just as twisted and surreal as I'd hoped, and Lil Slugger is one unhinged but memorable creation.

Got my Fancy Lala vol 6 today, can't wait to see the ending!
Plus the first economy boxset of Magic Knight Rayearth. It covers the first season of MKR and was only £22.40 from UP1. (Nice price difference from the original boxset, which was originally over £100 when I wanted to buy it 4 years ago  ).

i am getting into the stores the morrow and i will probably buy more Full Metal Panic DVD's...and i think i will get some others as well

Finally got round to ordering some Gunslinger Girl, the second volume of Scrapped Princess and the last two volumes of Wolf's Rain. On Sunday, i'll most likely make a UK order on play.com...
