I went with the blue one in the hopes that Amanchu would be in it and I was right! Wish I could have afforded both.
 
Based on the contents the titles I didn’t own were
Amanchu! S1, K-Missing Kings and Pigtails
unless my boxes are somehow any different that is.
 
Kinda disappointed with MVM's sales this year, to be honest. A lot of stuff is just more expensive than it was last year. From the stuff on sale today, I got Re-Kan and Sakura Trick for £6.99, and Love, Election and Chocolate for £4.99 last year, yet they're all £14.99 this year,
 
I didn't get anything so far from MVM sale, but I did notice the price increase on some sets compared to last year, Hidamari sketch for £15 and with an obvious no s2 seems silly to me, was expecting a lot more bd titles at £7.99 this year. I can only guess MVM is tight on cash atm and needs the cash flow.
 
In all honesty im surprised that Shin Maou was not in the mystery box and instead we got Rokka, well Angelic Layer is asort of duplicate for me but i got the sentai standard blu ray and that was years ago before it got released in the uk, now i can replace it as this one has more content so it is a 4.5/ Success in a way, altough i am not exactly fond that i had to get K: Missing Kings as it does not seem my style but i never watched so i cant really critisize it yet, well guess i just have to try it. The gankutsuou bonus booklet is great as that is one of my top fav series ever so nice bonus, the red box was the better choice

Well i Don't think im going to go for another anime limited mystery box next year as they have become a little to predicatabe and the next upcoming contents and now that it lost its funimation titles right it has even less, while alright there is nothing major i want, plus MVM has more diversity and cheaper international sale so i go for that

Some stuff is more expensive than what it was in dotw last month. Asterisk War was £14.99 for both parts on dotw, in the Christmas sale they were £14.99 each.
 
It’s like MVM wanted to sell less on propose to try and handle shipping from AL and themselves.
It’s not easy having one person doing all work.

while i agree that the sales have been kinda disappointing this year, i guess i we can say that atleast we got some sort of discount, i've been waiting on some animatsu/manga titles to drop for a while but they still stand at their £25-30 price tag from day 1 release
 
Next year it will be close to the transition deadline so I can see the deals being locked back to UK only next year and probably worse still as no FUNimation titles.
