Summer of 2014 Stream - Oreshura now up on Viewster

Re: Summer 2014 Streams - No Tokyo ESP for UK/AU/US (CR)

So we have 1 title now available which CR blocked from us, but Sentai licensed the show not long after.

Momo and Monthly are already available on CR which doesn't matter.

Sengoku Basara could possibly end up on Animax.

I figured there will be more, no streaming site should lie to their consumers.

Funimation picked up Tokyo ESP, which should explain the lack of English territories on CR's region list.

Sentai will have had the license all along. They've been working with Crunchyroll in some fashion for years and when they have the license but only the US license, it's US-only on Crunchyroll too.

Sengoku Basara could possibly end up on Animax.
Doesn't seem likely - the UK release is from Manga, not Kaze, and as far as I can tell FUNimation do not have UK rights (their streams are US/CA only and neither Madman or Manga have FUNimation logos on their product, only Shochiku)

I would be inclined to doubt that; the new series is almost wholly unrelated to the old one (save for it using characters from the sprawling Sengoku Basara universe and being commissioned by Capcom) and the previous series were picked up long before streaming in the UK seemed to be going anywhere. Nippon TV and Vap are handling the overseas distribution for Judge End, I believe.

If it's true that FUNimation are picking up all English-language rights and partnering up with local companies now for the parts of the world outside their preferred territory, it wouldn't be a bad title for someone like Animax to pounce on in order to capitalise on the UK sales the previous adaptation had (even though it supposedly didn't do very well).

Re: Summer 2014 Streams - Invaders of the Rokujyoma (CR)

Viewster's new selection of anime for the UK will be live at the end of the month:
@AnimeBlurayUK Thx for the shout! We're adding a bunch of new animes for UK - should be live at the end of the month! We'll keep you posted

Bakumatsu Rock is just the beginning. And with #Aniplex this will be interesting, could we possibly get The Irregular of Magic High School? or maybe even the older Aniplex titles we can't access on Crunchyroll (Blue Exorcist, Ghost Slayers Ayashi, Gurren Lagann, Oreimo Season 1, R.O.D., Star Driver as examples).

Also, we have once again another CR title for the UK & Ireland (in fact everywhere except Asia) - Nobunaga Concerto. Believe it or not, there's still 2 more slots and 2 catalog slots.

Re: Summer 2014 Streams - Invaders of the Rokujyoma (CR)

Hurrah for Nobunaga Concerto. I was beginning to think it had been forgotten!

I hope Viewster get Bakumatsu Rock up soon as it's not very impressive to be denied it on Crunchyroll and then to have it so late (and I also hope that Animax gets around to actually announcing the other shows they have soon because as usual they're trailing).

Well done to CR for getting Black Butler for the uk.

They don't have English subtitles on it yet though, for some reason, so Daisuki's stream might be a better option unless you speak Spanish/Portuguese/Japanese ;)

Ah thanks for the heads up :D Haven't got around to watching it yet so I will wait for it to sort itself out.

Half of those were actually available at one point on Crackle (Ghost Slayers Ayashi, Oreimo S1 and R.O.D the TV).
Blue Exorcist would depend on how exclusive Manga's rights are (MVM's license didn't stop ROD going on Crackle).
Still confused as to why we never got Mahouka.

Re: Summer 2014 Streams - Buddy Complex (Animax: Catalog)

Animax's Catalog title of the week is Buddy Complex, from the Winter 2014 era and another one of those Funimation titles. Interesting enough we already had legal access to this show thanks to Daisuki (it's a Sunrise title) but either way with Daisuki changing things around it wasn't going to last long on there anyway as quite a lot of the content was removed during the redesign launch earlier in the month.

So here's what Animax have picked up so far.

Winter 2014:
Buddy Complex
D-Fragments [D-Frag!]
No-Rin [Nourin]
Noragami

Spring 2014:
Daimidaler: Prince Vs. Penguin Empire
Dragonar Academy
Fairy Tail (Series 2)
Ping Pong: The Animation
Riddle Story of Devil
Selector Infected WIXOSS

Summer 2014:
Rail Wars
Re: Hamatora

Here is what's left of Funimation's titles:

Winter 2014:
Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha.
Maken-Ki! Two
Nobunagun

Spring 2014:
Puchimas!!: Petit Petit iDOLM@STER (PUCHIM@S 2)

Summer 2014:
Barakamon
Sengoku Basara: Judge End
Shonen Hollywood: Holly Stage for 49
Tokyo ESP

I won't be surprised if Animax also happens to pick up Black Butler: Book of Circus considering that they managed to get Fairy Tail (Series 2).

Re: Summer 2014 Streams - Buddy Complex (Animax: Catalog)

Surprised I missed this, Crunchyroll Manga will be adding Great Teacher Onizuka: Paradise Lost in Mid-August. Regions TBA but most manga are always worldwide.

For everyone who is a fan of the manga, we also haveeeeee: GTO Paradise Lost!!!!

Crunchyroll Manga is happy to announce that we have the catalog and simul-pubs for GTO Paradise Lost by the same author who wrote the original GTO, Tohru Fujisawa. This will be available in mid-August.
Territories will be updated soon.

Onizuka is a prisoner. For reasons that only he knows, he tells the story himself of what happened between him and Class G, expect many troubles, adventures and of course many hilarious moments.

GTO: Paradise Lost is a sequel to GTO and Onizuka is now 24 years old.

Is Shonen Hollywood: Holly Stage for 49 not a candidate too? Ok, I'll admit that even I barely care about this title but it's a shame it's not been picked up here :(

Also does anyone happen to know whether Rail Wars! is likely to be available for freeloaders tomorrow? Animax's vague scheduling (and reversal of its old simulcast structure) has left me a bit confused.

Re: Summer 2014 Streams - Buddy Complex (Animax: Catalog)

Rail Wars is marked as 'Expires in: 0 days' - so as long as thats right, its probably off tomorrow.

Hopefully episode 2 is added tomorrow while Buddy Complex is being added.
