Street Fighter IV!!!!!!!!

Yeah, storyline wise this is very close after the end of SFII, which makes it a couple or three years before SFIII. I wouldn't rule out getting some SFIII characters in a later version of SFIV, though.

Gen was announced a little while ago - his <a href="http://uk.ps3.ign.com/dor/objects/14211548/street-fighter-iv/images/street-fighter-iv-20090127113244730.html">alternate costume</a> (that's also Dan's alt in that picture) is awesome, imo.

Nice thanks again ilmaestro :thumb: Now i've got another excuse to dig Alpha 3 out. You're probably right about the SF3 characters cropping up, maybe as DLC prehaps? Not sure which characters i would want mind, only had a brief time with Third Strike.

Since we're talking about alt. costumes, I can make my fanboyism of Chun Li come out, and mention how awesome her alt. costume looks. lol.

From what i heard, i thought the console version had more than just one costume change for each character? I talked to the capcom guy when i was having a go and i'm sure they mentioned more than one each. I could have misheard however.

I'm looking foward to SFIV but I'm not ordering until I can get my hands on a fightpad. Trying to play the game on a 360 controller would be an exercise in self flagellation.

Understandable, i got an e-mail through today saying that Amazon are now taking pre-orders for the fightpads, so i'm going to go ahead and put an order down in a minute. If i had the money, or i was able to pursuade a family member to put money towards it for my birthday, i'd try to get a fightstick, but its no big deal.

Oh yeah, won my t-shirt today after winning 3 in a row with Ken. Asked about the competition we where all putting our name down for and its to win one of the arcade machines we where on, which are worth £12 grand a piece...have to say i'd be happy winning that, just have nowhere to put it.

@Ryo: I guess there would be some outwith the ones you get with collectors, but i'm sure there was ones you unlocked as you went through the game. I expect they could come from that Challenge mode ilmaestro mentioned as well as arcade mode.

After much deliberation over which character I wanted, I finally placed an order at Amazon for a Ken fightpad. They were all "unavailable" until a few days ago, so I'm not taking it for granted that I'm definitely getting one on release day.

As for sticks, I like the idea of them, but I hardly ever use the Soul Calibur II stick I have for PS2. My SFII Anniversary pad sees much more action.

Out of interest can someone tell me if the Xbox 360 Pad/Stick can plug into a PC or not?

I'd be tempted to get this on PC y'see. I mean I'd get to play the game more since my parents are watching the TV so much. And I've got a better online connection through my PC.

Wait there's a PC version? I thought given Capcom's trackrun with ports it wouldn't be advisable

Mhm, Really?

I dunno, I'll wait for a review first obviously.

The biggest problem (for me, if I was thinking of getting the PC version) is that it's coming out a few weeks/months later on PC. However, if you do decide to go for that, all the official 360 controllers, as well as the HORI arcade sticks that you can buy now and the MadCatz sticks coming out next month, are PC compatible.

Cool. If you go on msn, I can explain what I mean more. lol.

But cool, what do they plug into? Are the xbox ones USBs or something else?

If they are anything like the wired 360 controllers then they'll be USBs

//Phew.

Should be okay then. Now to wait for the reviews...

May interest some, but i asked the Capcom people if this was part of a UK tour and it turns out this was the first of a 5 week tour, Edinburgh being the only Scottish venue, luckily. I can't remember everywhere else its set to go, but i believe they said London, which was pretty obvious, and i think Sheffield, but the latter one i can't say for 100% sure.

When's SF:IV released again? -Checks Wiki-

WHOA, closer than I thought, great. In nineteen days I'll be thrashing you all with a Cammy which I mastered in three hours.
