Scenes that make you cry (spoilers)

-The ending of Voices of a Distant Star. "I am here". Brief, yet subtly devastating and utterly perfect.

Oh yes! Couldn't possibly ask for more cosmic desolation.

I have not seen Air yet, but I do have it on order. Should I be expecting more or less emotional response than Kanon.

Some have mentioned Clannad, I have watched the first half and whilst it is similar to Kanon I don't think from what I have seen it is as powerful.

None, I am way to 'ard.

Although, Rurouni Kenshin: Seisouhen has probably come the closest, that got me down for the rest of the evening. I was quite content with just Rurouni Kenshin, then I rewatched it and just HAD to watch the OVAs for the first time with it... >.>

Oh yeah, now that you reminded me of TTGL, the part where Kittan sacrifices himself. Or Lordgenome's last scene.
Damn, I need to watch the last 3 episodes again.

The ending of Tsukihime I think i cried twice, the part where Arcuied disappears in Shiki's arms and then again when she reappears briefly in his classroom to say good bye The ending of Chrono Crusade also touched me.

erm lets see, very simerlar to Dracos with Kanon only more on ep 10, 14 very end of Mai arc and around ep 23-24

ermm lets see the last ep for each season on Mahoromatic, amazing how they change from comical to drastic at a turn of a hat. though not so much now

Ai Yori Aoshi's first 4 ep :3, plus a few little bits and pieces in Chobits

Nothing special

In Rozen Maiden; Traumend, when Hina Ichigo started to 'break down'. Oh, god. That was terrible. And at the end, during the Alice Game, when everyone started turning to 'junk'. I was delighted when a few of the dolls came back to 'life', but seeing Souseiseki, and Hina Ichigo like that made me cry once again.

Oh really, i'll admit touching, though stretched for how long she was winding down. it felt almost like a pro-longing agony

In Paranoia Agent, when everyone started turning against Ichi, and wouldn't show up to his party. Cried at the end, too. I'm pretty sure I cried another two or so times throughout the series.

Paranoia Agent had a lot of moments that could have been like that. How were you when the dog got run over?

I forgot about Rozen Maiden, which, while not getting me close to tears was actually quite emotionally powerful. Considering the main characters are dolls. I actually felt more for them than many characters in other shows.

No tears but emotional all the same. Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex for the heroic deaths of the Tachikoma in each series.

Green Green - definately cried at the end when they finally came together only to be ripped apart - still can't watch this anime even though I really enjoyed it.

Final Fantasy 8 - not an anime but I cried as I watched the credits roll and then the final hidden scene just hit me.

Welcome to the NHK - definately an ending to cry over

Chrono Crusade - at the end where they sit in the chair together waiting to die seriouly moving scene

Fate/Stay Night - the very end where she goes back only to die

Gundam 00 - s2 - at the very end, no idea why I just found myself tearing up

Bleach - Memories of Nobody - at the end where Ichigo takes Senna to the grave yard and as she fades away he lies and tells her she has a grave here that got me started and then when Ichigo is on the bridge and he see's he pass him always gets me crying

McIcy has a sentimental side o0
are well i just had this image you was more HaRDCoRE

but no, i tend to find that however i feel intimate with the characters, i tend to "blub". it can even be such a series with a good ending, heck even Yoko Ishida song Eternal Flower teared me up, not sure why, maybe just that it reminded me of Ayaka in the Mahoromatic OP. Which once you've seen you'll understand.

Ware as the ending to NHK may well not effect me at all

It's hard to explain, but im hoping people get the jist of what im saying

also i find that im more tearfull to say the second to last ep in some series, such as Air or Mahoromatic

Out of interest, has anyone seen The Dog of Flanders? I've been told that's quite renowned for affecting its audience.

For some reason I watched about three series in a row recently which all parodied its climax...

I haven't seen it (only ever saw the edited DVD when I was in the market) though it's one I've always wanted to pick up.

For me it was She, the Ultimate Weapon when[Akemi is dies in the hostipal and finally confies her feeling to Shuji ]. That made me cry for sometime and could not watch the rest of the dvd series for aboot 2 months [/spoiler]

You might want to use some spoiler tags there, Zanuff. But in any case, SaiKano is a really, really awful series, so I suppose you're doing people a favor by spoiling it for them :p
