Everything is really good with me and my beau (I also don't know if it only refers to guys, but it's cool word!), thanks for askingShe started a new job earlier this month, it's a bit of an unknown quantity for her as it's in the financial industry and she's pretty much the least "financial industry type of person" you could imagine and she's feeling like a bit of a fish out of water around all these ambitious people aspiring to get rich. But on the other hand her co-workers seem really nice and supportive nonetheless and the atmosphere is much nicer than at her last workplace which was quite grim. I don't want her to put too much pressure on herself but I'm rooting for her either way.
We've been taking a pause in our GitS SAC watch through for a little while, but we'll probably resume pretty soon which I'm excited about! She's been enjoying the show as much as me, which is cool as it's the first "serious" sort of anime she's seen! After GitS we might watch EVA, but we've a long list of candidates!
I'm so glad! I am also very much not a "financial industry" sort of person so I get what you mean, I am really glad her colleagues are supportive though!
Evangelion is great but I suppose it depends a bit how depressing you want the vibe to be that evening (seriously it's one of my fave shows but it can get daaaark)
I am increasingly thinking that for me perhaps sincere connection and caring for each other is more important than the romantic aspect, I love how it feels when I fall for someone but that feeling's never really been reciprocated, and I met this rly cute guy recently who IDK if he's looking for a romantic thing (he's younger, and I don't think it's calculated obfuscation, more he's maybe not sure himself) but he's really really sweet and kind w me, we hooked up the other day and watched the first couple of eps of Kanon 2006 (English dubbed) and it was a super fun time and we both wanna meet again soon, so that's like, really nice? Whatever it ends up being. I feel pretty at peace internally overall as well, and I've recently started thinking of Jesus as my friend which I find rly helpful - I'm still in the driver's seat of my own life, but feel less alone and more able to see the beauty and magic in the world. My friend C is a Christian without any of the anti-sex beliefs or prejudices that often seem to go along with religious belief, and he helped me get to this point just by being the awesomely kind person he is, and I'm really grateful to him for that and so many other things
I also saw friend A on Tuesday and we started watching Hinamatsuri which we both rly enjoyed, and saw friends B and C on Saturday and Sunday respectively, had a lovely time with both, life is good! My mum's coming to stay soon as well and I'm really looking forward to seeing her
