Meet the Spartans - 6/10

Must be the worst parody of a movie i've ever saw.

Titanic - 8/10

It's so cheesey it's actually good.

Nah, Scary Movie 3 and 4 were very funny! :]
Your the only person, EVER, I've heard say that. Scary Movie 1 and 2 were waaay better. 3 was full of jokes already done in BASEketball (Albeit, Done funnier). 4 was just, awful. The Japanese speech was humorous, though. Sony, Panasonic, Mitsubishi.

The Wayans need to come back.

Never seen (or even heard of) "BASEketball", but I really did love Scary Movie 3. It was absolutely hilarious -- I could watch it again and again and still laugh my head off everytime.

Absolutely not! The Wayans' sex-centred humour grew tired very quickly. I like Scary Movie 1 and 2, but Scary Movie 3 and 4 are definitely better.

Nah, I think Scary Movie 2 was the best, with the nike advert rip-off!

That was the worst joke in all of the Scary Movie franchise! I fast-forwarded through it, honestly! :p

Ah, You'll love it, then. BASEketball features Matt Stone and Trey Parker, and is directed by (Surprise, Surprise) The director of Scary Movie 3 and 4, David Zucker. You need to buy the DVD immediately, It is truly comedy gold.

As for the sex-centered humour of the Wayan's, It indeed is what makes them funny. I disliked how Zucker changed everything, Like cindy's hair, with no explanation. Also, Yeah, Their humour isn't directed at people whom aren't attracted to females, ;p. To be honest, I'd rather Zucker named the films something completely different than milking the Scary Movie franchise [In which, you can't deny is only successful - BECAUSE of the humour in the first two movies].

Scary Movie is absolute dick, bar the first one.

Which by the way, is one of those films you can watch only once, MAYBE twice, before it turns into a lemon.

BASEketball is hilarious, but I thought Orgazmo was even funnier.

Blade - 6/10

Blade II - 6/10

I was expecting better since action films rated above 6/10 on IMDB are usually good. Waste of £5.

Try Blade III.

Just finished watching Moulin Rouge! and it was fantastic! Nicole Kidman is absolutely outstanding as Parisian courtesan Satine. I've noticed that, with Luhrmann's 'Red Curtain cinema' style, the stories start off with lots of jokes, and vivid, colourful dancing and singing, but there's a dramatic change in tone around halfway through. Moulin Rouge's tragic ending is a far cry from the hilarious and over-the-top humour of the first hour or so. I really, really enjoyed Moulin Rouge!; it gets a 9/10 from me, loosing one mark because it does drag on a bit towards the end. Oh, and Kylie's cameo as an Absinthe-induced hallucinatory fairy was awesome! Go watch it now! :]

I'm guessing this is the movie you're talking about? I'd buy it, but I promised myself to abstain from internet shopping for at least a few weeks :/

Not really. Overtly sexual humour -- especially the kind that permeates throughout pretty much every movie ever made by the Wayans -- get very old, very quick.

Also, Yeah, Their humour isn't directed at people whom aren't attracted to females, ;p.

That could be it, but I really doubt it. I'm pretty sure that if the sexual jokes were gay, rather than straight, in nature, I'd grow bored fairly quickly with that, too ;]

[In which, you can't deny is only successful - BECAUSE of the humour in the first two movies].

Indeed I can deny that; and that's just as I'll do! I remember going to the cinema when SC3 first came out, and everyone was in hysterics laughing for the 1 and half or so that it was on for. Sure, the end is lacklustre, but the rest of the movie is fantastic! Everyone I know outside of this thread that I've spoken with about SC has honestly preferred SC3. So there :p

The Curse of Steptoe and Son - 7/10

I was surprised by how good this was because I wasn't expecting much at all. Steptoe is one of my favourite BBC sitcoms and it's interesting to take a glimpse at the tension there was apparently behind set. Not sure how much is fact and how much is fiction as with most dramatisations, certainly made compelling viewing though.

Indeed, That is the movie. If you want to keep away from online shops, I got my copy for that price from HMV in-store. It seems to be stocked in most decent DVD shops, Surprisingly. Also, Yeah - Wayan's humour is pretty shallow, Its like watching a bunch of new and old memes stuck together, Especially the second film in which has no real plot and just seems like a load of scenes stuck together for some laughs. We'll end this discussion there, Anyhow. ;D

Cellular - 6/10

Saw it on C4 last night. If the actress who played Jessica (i.e. the kidnapped woman) put a little more effort into it or sounded less half-arsed, then maybe I would've given it a 7/10. It's not a brilliant film, but it's decent enough if you've nothing better to do one evening and it's on. The Lawyer made me laugh, though.
