death note relight 1 and 2

il be honest i only watched new footage that wasn't in the main series and i think a few of the new footage should been in the main series, hell the second season should be rewritten

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya - 8/10

Good film, I enjoyed it quite a bit, rather more ponderous and melancholy than I was expecting though, very different tone from the main series in some respects.

While I wouldn't say that the film ever dragged, one thing you could never call it would be 'pacy', having gotten used to most anime films being around the 90 minute mark, a 2 and a half hour one took me rather by surprise.

I enjoyed the greater focus on Nagato and I felt the cinematography...can you use that word for animation?...was excellent. Many of the scenes looked very much like they could've been shot in a live-action film and really helped sell the drama and introspective moments.

death note live action

its not as exciting as the anime but hey things look more exciting in a anime, i can see it was trying to stick to the original story to the anime but with a few changes, there and there, its like its half way though the fist season and i have to watch movie 2 tomorrow , ryuk looks really good in this,

i haven't seen a great adaptation since the gantz live action movies

death note 2 the last name

ok its almost like the original except a few things-

1instead of having Higuchi has the 3rd kira, Kiyomi Takada is 3rd kira
2lights dad is still alive and confronts him
3L doesn't die and theres no nera
4 light dies the same way from the manga when ryuk puts his name in his death note

its nearly all the same from the anime but i really really like the ending in this one, this is how the ending should of been in the series, its soooo good

death note L change the world

ok this takes place after death note 2 the last name and L has 23 days to live cause L put his name in the death note for him to trick light to thinking he was dead in the last film anyways he trys to solve as many cases before he dies and hes last case is a but virus weapons and has nothing to do with the death note cause he burnt them but we get to see how L works.

this is a movie for L fans

the last scene almost made me cry

 Oh, to be young and in love again...Well, I'm still kinda young so just in love then.

Loved this show. The characters and relationships are so wonderfully endearing and charming. It did seem like it was going to fall off a bit during the 2nd half of the first season as they put Shinobu on a bus and focussed way too much I felt on Tekumi and Ayumi. Shinobu's zaniness was missed greatly. I do like Tekumi and Ayumi, but like I said just felt the focus on them was a bit heavy and could've done with a bit less of Tekumi's work stuff.

I must admit that I always seen Shuji as an overprotective surrogate father for Hagu so genuinely surprised when he declared his love for her, well played I must say.

Occult Academy

Bought this due to loving NISAs releases and the fact the artwork was attractive and story sounded interesting. Really enjoyed the show and wish it was longer. Most of the episodes were two parters as well, but after episode 10 it felt like the writers were all "damn we only have three episodes left, we need to throw as much in as possible now" which again makes me wish it was longer.

Looked great, really nice music and some likeable characters (really liked Maya and Bunmei)

Simply beautiful. Not only is this show heart string pullingly good, but it's genuinely laugh out loud at times, the brilliant, perfect combination of romance and comedy. Quite possibly the king/queen of rom-coms in my eyes. I like the fact that it deals with the characters actually denying their feelings for so long. They know how they feel but just don't want to admit it to themselves, all too often in similar series characters know who they're in love with and it's just a case of how they muster up the courage to tell the other person.

And I just LOOOVE Taiga. She's so cute and tsun-tsun it's unreal.

Urban Square (1986)

Daft but amusing one-shot, in which a screenwriter witnesses a murder and, in turn of events worthy of his own trashy writing, suddenly finds himself pursued by hired killers.

I was a little disappointed in this one, as I had been expecting something much more Hitchcockian, but as a pastiche of '80s action cinema, it works well enough. Although the main character is irritating, his detective pal is much more entertaining and the action scenes are decently handled. It's worth a look for novelty value, but don't expect too much.

Due to not posting here at all really, gonna post what I have watched in the last month. (then keep more up to date)

The Tatami Galaxy.

Our unnamed protagonist is given/forced/obliged to constantly relive his two years of college life.

The main character speaks at approximately mach 5 for his narrations and, coupled with the unique visuals, makes a bizarre viewing experience.

Taking a wish we've all had before - 'If only I could repeat that time', and then making it so brings with it the resolution to the series' crux. It makes no sense at first, but that's half the charm. Familiar characters do familiar things, but the changes in his direction with each episode bring to light more to their particular stories, ultimately bringing a brilliant climax. There are fears that things may turn mawkish at the mid-point, but this ship steers itself clear.

At times funny, at times thoughtful; this galaxy is one certainly worth visiting.

I guessed the resolution wrong, too :(

Arakawa Under The Bridge Season 1

Filled with bright, colourful characters and animation to match it. It's freakin hilarious, there really isn't an episode that goes by without making you laugh. I just love Rec's insane reactions to all the completely insane things being done by the insane people that surround him.

tales of vesperia

the story is average and the characters are average with average backstorys but the animation and CGI is very very nice.

near the end it shows you scenes that would of been great in the film
