It's a DVD re-release (despite claiming to be a Blu-ray) that happens to be Region 1, 2 & 4 so it'll probably be another US import stock.

I no longer respect I just fear them more...

Is there a reason for them to re-release it because the only difference I can see is that its in 16:9 instead of 4:3 but I don't own the pervious releases and knowing how many times I have seen it on blu rays/dvds say its 16:9 when its actually 4:3.

Should be the same content as the previous release, but with a Crunchyroll intro on the start of each disc.

The original GT release in the US was packaged like their Dragon Ball & Dragon Ball Z DVD sets where they were known as 'Bricks' due to the digipack packaging of sorts. The new GT release is now a regular DVD case.

I doubt it, the bbfc would most likely have a field day with that show. Which is a shame, as I would like to pick it up also.
