Does anyone know what is meant by Display easel? (for DtB PE)

Probably similar to how Cowboy Bebop's Funimation exclusive is like:

Rightstuf have added the May titles onto their site. Looks like Puchimas will be available to other retailers in the end after all.

Note however, that these two Puchimas sets are in fact part of Season 1 and not Season 2:
- 'Season 1' includes episodes 1-23 with OVAs
- 'Season 2' includes episodes 24-64

The actual Season 2 (PUCHIM@S Petit Petit iDOLM@STER) is picked up by Funimation as far as I'm aware.

Rightstuf/Nozomi have announced they have rescued Please Teacher! and Please Twins! for DVD. Release date is this summer.

Update:

Media Blasters have announced that Crunchyroll will stream the English dub of Holy Knight. In addition Media Blasters have also confirmed they will be dubbing Judan Chan, Ladies versus Butlers! and Rio - Rainbow Gate!

Juden Chan huh?, lets hope they remember to include the mini OAVs this time

Sentai Filmworks have licensed Knights of Sidonia.

UPDATE #2:

Sentai Filmworks have confirmed the following with regards to Knights of Sidonia:
- Blu-ray is confirmed
- Netflix English dub will be included in addition to Spanish dub
- Japanese Audio will be 5.1 in addition to an exclusive English 5.1 mix.
- There will be English, French and Spanish subtitle tracks
- The 'Alternate Angles' (which are basically Director's Cut scenes in the Japanese Blu-ray volumes) will be included exclusively
- Subtitles will be tweaked a bit given the original version were pretty much dubtitles
- There will be a Limited Edition set - comes with exclusive art and goodies
- Bonus features so far include 'Behind the Scenes' extras plus footage from the KoS creators' Q&A panel in Japan and the Advanced Screening

Given this is a catalogue announcement, expect this title to appear in Sentai's June schedule.

With all that said though, I'm actually excited for this set (just pulled a 180 heh).

UPDATE #1:

As some of you already know, Aniplex of America have announced that Box Set 3 (aka Fairy Dance Part 1) has officially sold out. They did not state on any more details besides the fact that the other parts are in limited quantity. This isn't the first time that a middle part has sold out first for AoA as Puella Magi Madoka Magica LE Part 2 sold out way before Part 1 & 3. The thing is, unlike Sword Art Online, Madoka Magica had standard Blu-rays so this is a tough situation especially when Sword Art Online II will eventually get released presumably in the summer.

I attempted to order Box Set 3 on Robert's Anime Corner Store (RACS) and they have emailed me back stating that the item is now on Backorder (aka sold out mode). After emailing one of the support members back (just to notify that I was aware of the order), they told me something fairly interesting:
RACS said:
We did have quite a few left until everyone caught wind of it, then it was 1 order after another from folks we'd never done business with before for just the set #3 until they were gone. God knows where they are buying set 1,2, and 4.

When I talked to our guy at AniPlex on Friday he said that they have 'not decided' if they are going to repress the sets or not. These Japanese companies are always like this, never clearly stating their intentions, and we're going to assume that until they say 'no' that there will eventually be a repress (this time just without the card, like they did with 1 & 2).

We'll just have to wait and see.
The DVD versions are still available though. I would guess that Aniplex could reprint Box Sets 3 & 4 but only for a certain amount so that it would match for what remains for Box Sets 1 & 2. Then they would release standard editions to prepare for Season 2.

Lots of orders from new customers who didn't by the other parts - sounds like people buying to resell

I think that's what's happening but I only saw a few of those though.

In other news, Rightstuf now has a counter for the Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day Movie Collector's Edition Blu-ray/DVD, as of now 66 are left. At least I bought the film early just in case this happened.

Discotek have announced their April release date titles:

The Castle of Cagliostro [Blu Ray] - $29.95 retail price
Free! Iwatobi Swim Club Season 1 Collection [DVD] - $39.95 retail price
Samurai Troopers TV Series DVD Collection [DVD] - $59.95 retail price
Samurai Pizza Cats DVD Collection reissue [DVD] - new lower price of $49.95 retail

NISA have announced another reprint for Toradora! Premium Edition:

RACS said:
NISA let us know today that their Toradora! Bilingual Premium Edition DVD/BD Combo Set that has been out of stock since January is definitely being repressed and we will have it back in stock early in May.

They also informed us that we need to get our orders in for them before the end of March to guarantee our quantity, and that there might be allocations for any units ordered after that time. We've got the sets up for pre-order now, and we just need to you to get your order in before the end of March to guarantee your place in line for what will probably be the final pressing of this awesome set.

Get your pre-orders in today!

I wonder if Kaze/Manga will do a Mardock Scramble triple pack? Guessing that means Knights of Sidonia will probs be late Q3/Q4 for us over here.

Gahh that Free! solicitation, so almost tempting but annoying at the same time.

I'm definitely getting the Space Brothers and Haikyuu!! sets.

Do we know yet whether this is actually being done by Sentai, or are they just distributing it on behalf of Netflix? No Sentai release would have multiple different language Audio/Subtitle tracks as well as Alternate Angles. I hope that's 2 BD50s they're doing too considering the Extras.
I'm also interested whether this will use the same assets as Netflix's stream, since it appears they went back to the animation studio and had them provide a copy of the OP/ED with English translated credits - keeping the nice transitions/font and all.
I'm not against translated credits at all, but I hate the way that Funi - and especially Viz do them. A lot of series have really nice stylized credits (Like Psycho Pass's second OP) which are completely lost in translation so to speak.

Just had a look at Right Stuf's latest catalogue.

My Little Monster is scheduled for Spring 2015.
Tokyo Ravens Part 2 is scheduled for June 16th 2015.

Hanabee have done some announcement news lately:

- Blu-ray version for Devil Survivor 2 The Animation
- Complete set for Accel World for Blu-ray and DVD (formats sold separately)
- Complete set for Medaka Box for Blu-ray and DVD (formats sold separately)

------------------

Walmart have added two more anime titles to their pre-orders. They both seem to be late solicitations for the Funimation May line-up:

- HyperDimension Neptunia: The Animation - Complete Series (Blu-ray/DVD) - May 12th - source states DVD only but price tag is $64.98 which matches the standard edition combo pack
- Nobunagun - Complete Series (Blu-ray/DVD) - May 5th

That explains the random news of MVM releasing the title on BD.

The fanbase got it right, Sentai Filmworks have managed to acquire Parasyte -the maxim-.

Looks like the Madhouse NTV curse is no more this year (with Funimation picking up Death Parade).

Another thing to point out is this:
The invasion has begun as Sentai Filmworks announces its acquisition of North American, South American, UK, Australian, and New Zealand rights to the highly acclaimed series PARASYTE –the maxim-.

I really hope Anime Limited gets it instead, as it looks like the Japanese release comes with an 'artbook' which I would love to own!
