My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic...why do guys like this?

FiM has something surprisngly lacking in most programming: a cast almost entirely composed of strong yet feminine (less so Rainbow... She's my favourite) female charcters. The fact that they are ponies barely matters, they are much better role models for young girls than most programmes aimed at them.
 
I wanted to like it (grew up with MLP before I became macho...) but I ended up wanting to strangle everyone in the entire cast very quickly.

Definitely a no-show for me. I didn't go for the figures and sets before, and they wont tempt me now. Way too cutesy for my tastes.

I also don't really care for the multicam form, but I don't think the laughs are terribly intrusive in iCarly. It's far less annoying than something like Friends or The Big Bang Theory. Schneider done single-cam before w/ Zoey 101 and although it's pretty, the lack of the audience really throws away an interactive/theatrical element that kids like. (This is why nets thought they were needed in the first place). Hmmmmmmm.

Well, the band is called 'Deathklok'. From a show called Metalocalypse. Plus they have released a couple of albums.
