As for me, I bought the second Kizu movie's CE off Anime On Line, because I couldn't find stock on Amazon and as soon as I get paid I'll buy the other two Kizu CEs and Bake to get me started on this collection.

I've asked MVM about the Bonfire Weekend Sales, and they confirmed that they have no plans in doing them this year, as providing that all goes to plan, they'll be relaunching/upgrading their website next week, but they may do a "relaunch sale" once all is settled.

All 3 sets have "The Night Before the Carnival", but only the CE and DVD sets have the Mihoshi Special as that was DVD only. The standalone BD set doesn't have it.

They're a prequel. It's generally considered better to watch Bakemonogatari first but it isnt essential.

It's OOP and being replaced by the Second Season Boxset (this is what I'm waiting for as well). If you wanted it by itself however CEX or ebay would be the best bet.

£126 is a lot of cash for me to part on something I haven't watched before; although I possess most of Ufotable's other works on Blu-ray. At £70 - 90 I could take a punt on it. Maybe they will have some left in stock after Xmas.

Unfortunately they were forced to up the price. Quite a few people ordered it for around the price range you mentioned during their last % off sale.
