Homophobia: Acceptable or just plain Childish?

Id say childish everyone has a right to be their selves and like different things......
Nobody has a right to tell them different because its just who they are :D
Most of the time they can be just regular nice people too they just.... flow the other way...

Because this seems to be quite one sided as if all gays/lesbians are perfect, or so its looking. All this talk about "oh but gay people dont brag about thier sex lives", well they do, cause I've heard enough about it.

The point most people are making is that gay people are no worse (or, indeed, better) than straight people. The bad aspects to gay people exist with straight people, too, in one way or another. Gay people aren't perfect, neither are straight people. That's the point.

Ever been to the gay village, or any gay bar?

Every male that goes into one will get hit on, and it won't even be a subtle come on-- everyone there is just one horny mother******.

Hah, of course you'll get hit on in a gay club if you're a man. That's one of the foundations of all night clubs.

Plus, I've heard this from members of the gay community aswell, so it speaks more truth than you'd like to believe.

What have you heard? That gay men are promiscuous? Well, yes, a lot of gay men are. A lot of straight men are, too; and a lot more would be if women, who naturally have lower sex drives than men, weren't there to balance it out. So when you have just men, everyone has a high sex drive and that's why promiscuity is perhaps more widespread among gay men and also why it's not an issue with lesbians.

If a woman chatted you up in a bar, would you take it as a compliment? You would because they find you attractive. Same sorta thing here.

Of course. Most of the guys I know would be flattered if they found out a gay guy found them attractive. The guys who get outraged at that sort of thing are taking life too seriously and have big issues with their own sexuality.

What im saying is I personally find gay people are worse for it than straight people. From my experience, that is.

We obviously know different kind of guys. We know guys that dont go to gay bars. We could kinda guess you'd say that, being gay, you probably have gay friends, who would obviously love a guy chatting them up...

No, you're stereotyping; I have no gay friends at all, actually. All of my friends are straight and many of them are men. I'm not saying they'd love a guy to chat them up, but they wouldn't complain or whine about if it happened. I think it's because they're not afraid of their own sexuality and are actually quite comfortable with themselves.

So, your the only gay in the village??

And your friends probably, inside, would feel strange if a guy chatted them up.

Of course not, there are 8,000 people in my town, there are other gay people out there. I know only of 3 gay guys, but they all go to different schools, so I never became friends with them .... what's the point of that question any way?

So you know my friends better than I do? How did you manage that? :s

The point? Il admit, a cheap stab to make me laugh for the first time all night. It was just asking to be said, really.

I say that because from the way you act when someone says it would feel weird, you pounce on them. I can see WHY you dont like it, but I do feel you over react. My guess is, your friends say these things so you dont go all crazy at them.

Eh, okay. Good for you? I don't really see how that could be funny, or why it was necessary, but if it made you laugh, fair enough. I think you need to ligthen up and calm down a bit anyways ;]

You're assuming that my internet persona is what I'm actually really like; it - of course - is not.

So you admit your a pain in the ass online (Again; no pun intended)

I never said that. If you're just going to continue making jokes about me being gay, then you're wasting my time. Remind me never to take you seriously again. Thanks ;]

You basically did though. I said your a pain 'online', and that you'd literally jump at someone for saying stuff like 'I find it weird that a guy came onto me', ergo, people would just say things to make you happy. I know a few people on here who havent commented because they know you'd leap at them for not agreeing basically. Therefore when you said your not the same in RL as you on 'online', I take that as a confession in that your a pain online.

Also if my childish jokes get to you that much, then try and make some back. I feel sure in all your wisdom, you can think of one for me.
