Every male that goes into one will get hit on, and it won't even be a subtle come on.

1) If a gay person chatted me up i'd take it as a compliment.

2.) Immature reply alert!!!!! errrrr, come on.

1) Why would you take it as a compliment??

2) Time to face facts.

Well I suppose it's the for the simple fact that, even if he is gay, I'd be flattered ^^.

As I asked, "Why". Why would you be flattered at the fact someone of the same gender (assuming your straight) thinks your attractive/appealing/wants to hit on you

It's better than being spat in the face, or mugged or kicked in the testicles.

Is that a real answer? How many people have gone out of thier way to do that to you?

And it still doesnt answer why you'd find it flattering or 'take it as a compliment' as you said. Fair enough youd RATHER that, but thats like saying "Id take a kick in the balls as a compliment" "Why?" "Because its better that being shot in the balls!!"

nah, that wasn't a real answer but if someone complimented on my looks i'd be happy, whether they're straight or gay. Does that mean if a gay person chatted you up you'd be offended?

(I'm straight by the way)

Im bi sexual, so not really. But, being taken and happily with a girl, im call myself straight for a bit, and deny the turth of myself *Shrug*

I wouldnt be too happy, and especially in the way Kurogane said, they just hit on you, and with no subtlety. Id hate if a girl done that to me, or a guy. Chatting up to me, is subtle.

No ****, sherlock ^^. Yup, I'd still be flattered, and yes, I'm as straight as an arrow (Though I here they bend on impact...).

We'll just agree to differ then. Being straight, I really cannot understand why you'd like it, but hey, who am I to say how everyone should feel??

Ha, fair enough ^^. I see were you're coming from, and that being straight, I'd rather much stick with the girlfriend I have and tell the guy I don't swing his way, but still, I couldn't become "disgusted" even if I wanted to. Meh, maybe it's due to th fact that a majority of my friends are gay? Hmm...

(im gonna stop quoting cause its too much to trawl through)

I get what your saying. I wouldnt be disgusted, as I have had guys compliment my looks (straight, guys. normally my hair... now ive dyed the sides red, its turned some heads), but equally im not flattered. Especially if its from a gay guy trying to chat me up. If its just a "Hey nice hair" or "Hey nice clothes", thats kinda 'normal', unlike a "Hey sexy".

Just the sides, still got a nice long black fringe, you wouldnt like it ;) :p

I don't see how it's any different to being chatted up by guys if you go to a normal bar as a girl. I can pretty much guarantee it happens to me each time I do and I'm not even looking for that kind of attention and I hate it. But it's premature to label all straight guys as horny nutcases based on that. A bar isn't really representative of an entire group of people.

And sexual jokes? All types of guys do that. As do all girls! It's more a matter of shyness or maturity when they don't rather than sexual orientation.

I wouldnt say all types of guys do that. I know a LOT who dont.

Its different because its the same gender. Period. Sure we can all go "Why SHOULD it be different". Indeed, why. But it is. Plus a girl being chatted up by a guy is normal as hetrosexual is alot more common than homosexual, therefore im going to call it the 'normal'. When being chatted up by the same sex, it is 'not normal' if you are not homosexual, therefore you will be more uncomfy with it, as there is a high chance you will not know what to do. Also the way many gay people are going at the moment, if you turn them down to quickly or even slightly offend them, they will call you homophobic. Its sad, but true.

I think its a fact to say that 100% of people make sexual jokes.

Some of my friends appear to be scared of girls all together. Still the one makes me laugh, he is all for looking cool and getting girls yet refuses to masterbate. In his own words "Only sad, dirty, men who wanna watch porn all the time masterbate"

I raged

The guys not right in the head....

Its a natural thing, everyone does it. guys do it, girls do it (although they wont admit it to a guy.....unless their a couple) but its not a bad thing by any means. you should scare him with prostate cancer. if you don't relieve yourself enough you'll end up in trouble

*shakes head* tsk tsk, some people now-a-days, so uneducated

It bugs me when weird guys chat me up just as much as if it was a weird girl. And what if I was a lesbian? Shouldn't I have the right to be insulted by presumptuous men coming on to me?

Normal it may be, but I still don't like it so I simply avoid the places where that kind of guy is likely to be found. I don't see turning down a member of the same sex coming onto you as any different in technique to turning down a standard horny guy...

If they call you homophobic for politely saying no, it may be time to call that individual a hypocrite for not respecting your sexual preferences and move off. But it's not fair to assume the majority of homosexuals are in that camp.

Agree with spyro and Rui's posts.

Personally....if a guy came on to me depending on how strong would depict what i do/say.

If they said "hey, cool clothes" or "cool hair" it'd be a "cheers" in return. if they said "hey goodlookin" id say " lol thanks but i don't swing that way if you were wondering", if they said "oi oi sexy" id say " seriously, thats not called for, im straight and dont play for that team. back off" if i was then called "your a homophobe" id say "suuuuure, here's 20p.....go call someone who gives a damn what your opinion is"

Im straight, although admittedly me and a load of people got drunk, decided spin the bottle was a good idea and thats enough said. lol

ahhh alcohol, the funniest thing since teasing a hobo with bread ;)

No one likes weirdo's chatting them up. Period. Its just more normal for a weird guy to chat you up, than a weird girl. Because Hetrosexual is "The Normal". Your right, turning down someone of the same sex IS the same, its just alot of gays tend to call you homophobic, for basically, not being gay and desperate.
