Forced Listening Thread

Threads like this have been going around forums for awhile now, and they're fun! So AUKN deserves one - the Forced Listening Thread. It's a good way to express our musical interests with each other and an even better way of spreading your wings and trying new genres or discovering some songs you never knew existed. As the name suggests, embed a song you really like from, lets say, Youtube (although any other similar site is just as good) for the poster below to listen to. Said poster then posts their thoughts about the song and then leaves their own chosen video behind for the next poster to listen to, you get the idea.

Rules:

- You have to listen to the whole song

- If the song is actually so bad to you that you can't listen to the full thing, don't post and wait for someone else to get it out of the way

- Don't just post a couple of words like "Not bad", "Didn't like it" or "Cool song bro", expand a little on what you thought and put why you liked it/disliked it, what could have made it better etc. It doesn't have to be a paragraph, just enough to show you actually thought about it.

That about covers it, except you're free to post what ever you like! It's not restricted to being anime or manga related, one perticular language and of course, any genre. I'll go first!

i quite enjoyed that, it's nothing new but very enjoyable, it was more of the sort of thing i'd have running in the background than me focusing on listening to it mind

Horses for courses I guess. Sorry for breaking the rules but I had such a violent reaction.

As far as your entry goes memorium, no offense but I wouldn't normally listen to this: the lyrics, when I could make them out were nothing revelatory and they were pretty much overwhelmed by what was for me a sometimes melodically interesting but overly-familiar music. It fulfils my stereotype of the soundtrack for the mal-adjusted.

Here's something that defies the Hip-Hop stereotype:

A pretty cool song to say the least, i like how well it flows and doesn't 'try to hard' it's calm and fun at the same time.

Damn you Memorium, you ninja'd me just as I posted a reply to Kirrimir's song

I liked it, while the guitar's sound weren't really for me (I'm being rediculously fussy right now, I know) the lyrics were something you could sing with, plus the video was amusing to watch

I haven't listened to this song properly in such a long time! I forgot how good it was

Man, oh man, this brought back memories of CNX when anime and Asian movies were nightly and I'd wallow in the awesome entertainment. I loved Outlaw Star and this song is awesome. The lyrics and music sum up the attitude of the show.

Not sure which instrument you are referring to. Mark Sandman (vocals) played a 2 string slid bass. Dana Colley usually played baritone saxophone as well as soprano or tenor saxes. Sometimes Colley played 2 saxes at once. The band split in 1999 when Sandman died of a heart attack.

Ughh well, for a Rap song it was as expected. Bad and about killing and DAH COPZ. Personally i hated the song, could just be because i hate rap in general but oh well.

A song about vegetable juice.....I'm not sure what to say. I have heard of Miku Hatsune before, but it is the first song of hers that I have heard. It's not bad I guess.
