For all three these are what I think on them:

Sonic: Looks good, much better than I expected, Sora Ltd. did good on him.
Mario: Adds to the realism of his overalls and clothing in general.
Link: Fits to the "dark" setting of TP.

Popo & Nana also really stand out, they seem much brighter and vibrant than before.

Only real concern I got though is Sakurai putting so much detail into Snake's ass, srsly. >_>
 
I know it looks more realistic etc. id have just liked ab it more colour and feel. Even the stages, like IMHO 'Battlefield' is a bit dark.

Well yes, but you can't say the same for Delfino Plaza, Yoshi's Island, Smashville, Rumble Falls, Skyworld, Wario Ware, Pokemon Stadium, Pictochat, Mario Circuit or Distant Planet, to name a few. You can't avoid that some stages are going to be "dark", there is night-time in Nintendo games too.
 
I've been on the Gamefaqs boards for a while now and it seems some people have the game now in japan so they are posting up images from SSE and so on as they go and who is unlocked and so on. some of the characters where obviously going to be in it which are mentioned, but they only have about 5 unlocked methinks. i could post who is unlocked but only if people want it mentioned.

There are loads of fake character selection screens going about - are you sure that's the real thing?

I'm tempted to believe it is - the Wind Waker Link image doesn't look like any image I've seen before, but it could be fanart. But isn't the character selection screen usually white?

The screen you're talking about is for versus mode, that roster link I posted shows WW Link in Sub Space Emmisary.

Also the different type of link is probably just the same as young link and link, if this is true obviously.
 
That's just the spoiler tag...As for that roster shot, that's the second one i've looked at today :? Not sure about it been right but only a couple of days till we find out the truth anyhow, though one thing i've noticed from all the fake rosters is there seems to be no love for sega characters since sonic is the only one on there :p Probably for the best...[/spoiler]

But considering they have only two days left to reveal stuff, they are obviously leaving these out of the dojo as a surprise, as if they left the roster as it is now then it would be smaller then Melee's was (if i recall correctly) when it should be bigger, besides it would take the dojo several weeks to show off every character, their moveset and their final smash. I mean we probably haven't even seen all the assist trophies yet
