I have come to adore this opening of recent. It fits the series so perfectly. I haven't checked if one exists, but if there's a 2nd OP, it has a lot to live up to, if there isn't, well I'm totally okay with that.

Looking back at my choices and at more anime themes and composers I've recently come to realise just how many anime works Yoko Kanno has been involved in. I knew of her works with Shinichiro Watanabe but not that Some of my favourite anime themes were composed by her I.e. "I don't need Promises" from Escaflowne and the GITS SAC OPs featuring Origa. Such a great composer! I have much respect and admiration of her talent.
