dont you just hate it when.........

I hate it when....

I pre-order a dvd set 3 of 4 months in advance, it takes ages to come into stock.

I realise that with the shipping delay I will have the payment taken a few days before my pay day, I keep more than enough money in my account to pay for it.

I check my account this morning to make sure the money is there, which it is, I head off to the gym wondering if today will be the day when my item is posted...

I get it 2 hours later and find an email from otaku.co.uk telling me my card was refused. I check my account and find a mysterious payment of 20 quid has been taken from my account by persons unknown (online bank has not updated fully yet), so not only did the card decline, I do not have money to try take payment again.

I then rage and rant and shake my fist and wish I belived in a god so I could curse him, because my SKU: Black Rose Saga boxset is a) not in transit to me and b) may be on back order when I get paid next week, thus the whole horrible cycle will start again.

UPDATE After making this post I called my bank to see what had happened. Apparantly otaku had applied for the payment twice for no reason. The first went through and the 2nd failled. I sent them an email and pointed this out, they said sorry and posted my item. Crisis over.

i ordered mine from hmv and they said there out of stock on the day they released it

in every single anime the hero always wins and its starting to tick me off i just wish a bad guy would win and the side characters would get a bigger better part

I'm pretty sure there are few where the hero always wins.Maybe overall yes, but in individual episodes there aren't many where the hero wins every battle. I think they win every battle in Gurren Lagann though...

inconsistent packaging

Quoted for truth. I hate that too. Especially with series. if you KNOW it's going to be a series, make it at least so it looks that way on a shelf...

That reminds me, I don't like people peeinng themselves in anime, or anything really. I really hate the bit in elfiin lied where the girl pee's on the floor becaus she doesn't know how to ask for the toilet.
What I don't get is, how some shows use a girl peeing themselves as if it's supposed to be a turn on. If it's used for say, comic relief, toilet humour may not be my kind of humour, but whatever...if it's for sexual gratification...what?

I hate it how nobody seems to enjoy sex in hentai unless they are dishing out abuse.
Porn as a whole can be like that; it's all about being able to enjoy fantasies that would be very wrong to do in real life.

I hate it when people make a big deal about sharing a drink becuase its indirect kissing.
During those scenes I want to shout out: "Use the other side of the glass!"

I can't remember watching a series where the hero always wins. Sure, they always win the final battle, because they're supposed to (Imagine the fanrage if Harry had lost to Voldemort for example). Final battle aside, most characters will lose at least once, as a sort of indicator that they need more training etc.

I hate it when I pre-order Spice & Wolf II for $42 only for the store I pre-ordered from to drop the price to $30 a couple of weeks after they send it. I wouldn't mind if the set had been out a while but technically it's not even released for another four days! No more early pre-orders for me.

Gawd knows how they can afford to sell it for that anyway.

Wow, wtf. I'm officially not impressed by that at all. I'm also a little concerned that the package that was sent to me including S&WII still hasn't turned up after two weeks.

edit: Yeah, actually, I'm more than a little pissed at that given that the release date hasn't been hit yet, I'll be writing them an email later. $12 is hardly the biggest amount of money in the world, but on principle it is annoying me more the more I think about it.

patiences. it took nearly 4 weeks for my battle vixens season 2 to come in and im stll waiting for another anime that iv been waiting for for the last 4-5 weeks

It is irritating when a show doesn't get a full release. I just looked up blue dragon and on youtube it has 51 dubbed episodes uploaded but only 24 seem to have been released in the uk last year and I think only half of that in the US. So it doesnt seem likely that the other half will be released on DVD.

i double checked and its not 51 episodes.
including the the first and second season its all together 102 episodes............. what the hell man what taking so long to release the rest of them

I hate it when people judge anime based on the fact that it's from Japan, rather than y'know, any accolades the film get, or the story itself.

I had planned to watch my The Girl Who Leapt Through Time blu-ray tonight. However, my Step-Dad was slumped on the sofa watching his crappy cop shows. I ask if I can watch a blu-ray (note: It's my blu-ray player) and when my step-dad asks what it's about, Mum interjects saying it's one of those "Japanese manga things"....

I knew I had no chance then. I'm now up here writing this post, instead of watching The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. Mum said I can watch it during the day tomorrow, but I know my little brother will be hogging the TV to play his PS3 with his friends.

Why couldn't she have y'know, given me a chance to actually explain what the film is about? (Also, note that this is the same step-dad who today, really pissed Mum off for refusing to pay for me and my older brother while paying for my younger brother when we went to Hunstanton today; only shouting us about £5 collectively for chips and a drink after Mum spent the day guilt-tripping him).

Why is it that anime is the only art form where people stereotype their films etc based on country of origin?

^ if anythings foreign to someone they mock it without having a look,
for example - you get people who haven't seen an anime but has heard from other people *positive or negative* you have the fans, you have the haters and others who dont know nothing about it.

i hate it when anime girls want revenge
something about a girl wanting revenge doesn't sit right with me i mean when a guy wants revenge its fine but when a girl wants revenge i can't bare it. expceully when the person she wants revenge on is a victim there selfs its like when a person did something but didn't mean to or wasn't thinking straight.

Why is a girl wanting revenge any different from a guy wanting revenge? What about a girl who is a tomboy?

From my experience girls tend to hold grudges and seek revenge more than guys do in general, so it's probably best to get used to it. I also don't think a person is absolved of guilt for something just because they weren't thinking straight. Burn them at the stake!
