Count to a Million

10758 good question i guess its because its a party and traditionaly parties have food available, though if you just want a room where you can just dance all night long you may want to see if you can just not have the buffet to make the experince cheaper (or see if you can the price of the buffer transferred to the bar instead, who knows maybe you can have free drinks all evening)

10759

the room to buy/reserve is £50. and the bar has to make £650 by the end of the night or else the remaining amount comes outta my wallet...
and i've sent a text to my mates if they want a buffet and they've all come back, a small one.
mums trying to get me to spend £250+quid on a buffet and comparing it to a wedding buffet, i swear...if she decides to do this in 2012, i'm not inviting her lol
people are there to drink, dance and socialise...not stand and eat nibbles ffs.

10760

Well you won't have to worry about that as its the family of the bride who organises and pays for everything :p the family of the groom have very little to do besides you can socialise and eat nibbles :p

He's baaack, and he's got a new trick...

Hey Black, did you ever check to see if your R2 F91 is widescreen (not that it matters now as I was so annoyed at Bandai's shoddy production of the R1 I've torrented the JP blu-ray rip ) If you want something to do go make that MyAnimeList! :p

10766 on the back it says 4/3 1.33 so its not widesceeen, i swear i haven't forgotten :p at the moment i'm pleased with myself as i've finally added death into the game  so now the full game structure is there, start screen, game and then game over screen which brings you back to start screen (repeat until bored)

They made a blu-ray version of F91? intresting...

10768

...and Char's Counterattack. No subs however, and on Blu-ray that's just lazy (hence my rant about the Zeta Blu's the other day) as the GITS and Patlabor ones are subbed (and all are Bandai / Emotion products)

This game's sounding good Black. Glad it's going well. :)

Edit: I think these guys are available Tach:

10769 Hey Tach is that where you've been :p Look at my last post for how i am

@Ayase i noticed that little rant :p We have to show it to the guy who owns the company we've been doing the work's experince with next week (was to be today but he's in london for something) then the week after that could be us showing it to the interview panel...Btw what sites do you normally buy these DVDs off? (the R2 and R3 ones) as i'm looking for DVDs of GaoGaiGar FINAL and the problem is that the show was never licensed in the west

10770

I normally get my R2 & 3 DVDs off YesAsia (where I linked you to that Patlabor box). They are a bit more expensive than some import sites but postage is free provided you spend $40 and somehow they get round the import taxes, so they're better than Play Asia or Amazon Japan (who charge *horrendous* postage)

10772

Yeah, R2Js can be very expensive. I only own the original YKK OVAs and Appleseed Ex Machina (for the Japanese version that was *ommited* from the UK release... bloody Warner Brothers.) in R2J. I've just got my fingers crossed that Asia Video in Hong Kong are gonna keep including Eng subs on their DVDs but judging by their latest Gundam releases they might not :(

10773 a shame really, as there is a lot of things i would of bought had they had english subs (and i had money) like the remastered version of Macross: Do You Remember Love? that got released last year, to me that will always be my favourite version of the franchise with Macross Plus a close second, i mean i don't see a reason why they just don't put english subs on as standard :?

10775

Hence my big problem with the Blu-rays. They've got all that space, really everything should just be getting world wide, uncoded, multiple sub-track releases now. But the studios want to protect their markets... especially the ones they are ripping off like Japan and (to a lesser extent) the UK. That might still work with mainstream films and TV series where the consumers don't know any better, but Anime already has a heavy web community, and people are wise to what they're doing and won't stand for it. If people aren't given a legal choice they will turn to fansubs and the studios profits will take a hit if they don't change.

10776 true, it seems everytime we think we're taking a step forward (talking about Bandai's Freedom blu-ray worldwide release here) there's always two steps back taken, to make matters worse is some of the releases won't ever see the light of day here which means fansubs is the only way to see them (with english subs at least) without being able to fully understand the langauge. So yeah i agree with you it is stupid...

@Tach what are you talking about? :p
