Fun trivia: This year alone we've had a total of 12 anime titles with an 18 rating which I believe is a new record considering the UK doesn't really get that many 18 rated anime each year (on average I think it's probably like 5-7 maybe?).

Oh ****. The site didn't even mention any cuts on their site (well the site redesign ruined everything and is pretty much broken everywhere now) so that's surprising.
 
BBFC just re-watched End of Evangelion: The End Of Evangelion

How can this still be a freakin' 15???????????! The BBFC really needs to considerate how they treat violence compared to sex (I mean, look at those 18-rated animes this year).

And they just published a research where teens want to know about how mental health is portrayed on films... Not even a mention of "horror" or "disturbing scenes" in the ratings info.

PD: BBFC also re-rated "Death (True)2" and gave it a darn 15 too, with a similar "violence" tag and considering the show is rated 12, what the hell? Evangelion - Death/rebirth (title says it's "death/rebirth" but it's just the BBFC website being stupid)

Edit: Ireland also gave BOTH a 15A rating, they just don't care.
