But again, it probably depends on who is rating it. Maybe the person who gave it a 15 felt it wasn't that big of a deal, while the person who gave it an 18 felt it would be a bit much for the 17 year old's mindset (they probably couldn't decide between Rias and Akeno so they used an 18 rating as an excuse to avoid making their decision on who is best girl).

I think, even back when Season 1 was released, we were pretty surprised that it got a 15.

Imagine if they re-released Strike Witches! Season 1 was originally rated a 12, so that'd shoot up.

Oh yeah definitely. I reckon Azur Lane may potentially hit an 18 for the hot spring episode.
 
I'm also curious why did Manga have to get it re-evaluated at all? I was under the impressions releases in the same format could just use the old ratings and that was why MVM are trying to get Paranoia Agent a new uncut rating.

I guess sometimes they like to do it so that it's under their name or something, or perhaps for some reason they thought AL used different discs or something.

Strange: Gantz:O was rated '15' when it was first released. I wonder why it was seen as necessary to upgrade... I think the detail of violence is fairly graphic but still an odd decision.

Lol I can't see the bbfc being to happy about since they rate streamed content as well home and cinema.

I wondered how we'd be getting the new Rurouni Kenshin movies outside Japan and given how many have been going to Netflix this is not surprising
