Lelouch Lamperouge from Code Geass

A student of Ashford Academy high school, where he is a member of its student council. A brilliant thinker who is quite talented at chess, he lives with his younger sister, Nunnally, and their maid, Sayoko Shinozaki. He is also known as Zero during his rebellion against the Empire.

Balsa from Seirei no Moribito (Guardian of the Spirit)

An honourable woman who travels with a spear, Balsa is on a quest for atonement when she comes upon Prince Chagum and decides to protect him against dangers from afar and within. Both fierce in battle and tender when it comes to her young charge, Balsa's journey won't be an easy one.

I haven't seen either of these shows and there isn't even a cute character to pick to sway me :p I think that based on description alone Balsa gets my vote.

Balsa.

I've been avoiding these due to either not having seen both of the series the characters originate from or not being able to choose or not caring.

This one however... I needed to step in on.

As much as i do like Lelouch as a character, i think i best continue voting for the one i got into this. My vote goes to Balsa

I'm flip-flopping over this one. Lelouch had the head, the strategy and the mecha to do almost anything. But face-to-face (and in the words of the "Wrestling God" JBL), "Everyone's got a strategy until they get punched in the mouth!" And she's a real survivalist anyway.

But since Lelouch is the master of being a babyface and a heel (even if Balsa had her moment), I'll vote for Lelouch.
