Kira is about 4 OVAs long. Each one is stand alone. The first OVA is Batsukoishi-hen, an unreleased arc. The other 3 are anime only. It has lots of comedy and each of the ending songs have different versions. So the first one is Rena's version. the 2nd one is Rika/Satoko's version, the 3rd one is Mion/Shion's version and the last one is Hanyuu's version.

The 3rd OVA contains plenty of Mion ;)

Ah now if only I could convince Funi to license Kai, Rei and Kira...Then get them to ask Manga to get them out other here...Sigh only in a dream world.

I think I read it on ANN, that Funi has no plans to license any more Higurashi, since they let the first season's license expire. I guessing if anyone in the USA is going to pick it up, it will be Sentai.

Luckily Kai is licensed in Australia by Siren Visual, it's a bit pricey, but all it's is released in 2 parts. So I'm hoping if it does well they can get Rei and Kira.

... yes, but Oh my God, what have they done with that cover and that title... they've made it out to be a shlocky Tokyo Gore Police type thing =S

I was thinking the same thing I was like, wait this cant be it the image on here looks more animation then this, looks more CGI more then anything

Bigger version, it's such a weird cover choice and looks to cash in on the "Megashark vs Giant Octopus" oeuvre of 'so bad it's good' films =S

Looks like one of those old giant monster posters like Godzilla or gamara.............actully that would be bad ass gorilla or gamara comes to save the day by eating them

Ok who used to do this-

When I went to hmv or virgin mega stores or any place that sold anime or music, when there was a DVD and was the last one I would always hide it behind another DVD til I come back to get it
