I don't think you're going to get any arguement that Transformers Headmasters is the only downside to the lineup.

Yeah lol.

I can't wait till they replace it with something else after its finished its run =D
If they run through the entire Takara series then there is about 100 episodes to get through, which on its own is nearly a third ofa year... I like Transformers, including the Takara series but the English dubs for those are abominable.

I think it has something to do with its connection to Pop Girl(a channel that goes from 6.a.m to 9p.m) at least it has a decent time to do something with (9 hours worth)

And no editing involved whatsoever.

Ah cool, cheers for mentioning this, moving to my new house in about a month so not got sky yet.

My house has an old sky dish which is probably analogue, does anyone know if it would be possible to use Freesat using this? £150 is a lot of money for me at the moment any way to cut corners would be great!

Or maybe someone could point be in the direction of what to buy and where from (links would be great!), not very good with this sort of stuff and cannot avoid to be wasting money buying the wrong stuff.
Hi. Chances are if it's an old dish (from the old analogue Sky days), it may not have the larger frequency range required nowadays. Plus the dish would be pointing in the wrong place. So you may need a new dish.

There was a Sky offer for Freesat for £75 all-installed in Currys, ASDA, Dixons, etc but I think it has now finished.

You can buy bits separately. A second-hand Sky Digibox sells for around £20 to £30 on eBay. Someone from the local paper or Yellow Pages could install a dish. I don't think you'd be saving that much though.

Where do I obtain one of these set top boxes? Is it £150 like another poster mentioned?
Hi. You may have the same problem as above regarding the dish. Again, a local TV aerial fitter could have a look at it and give you a quote.

Ah sorry should have explained better, the sky box can be used as a Freesat box after the subscription ends and so can be used as a way to receive this channel

For me I don’t not have a suitable dish installed or a sky box for Freesat so instead of it costing £150 I can get it for £107.

Obviously you can ge ta cheap sky box and dish and fit it all yourself but i dont want the hassle of doing something like this, so getting sky to do means everything is done correctly.
Yes, this may be best.

How does this channel make money? It doesn't have ads so im wondering how much longer it can go on for losing money.

The free channels make money mainly through TV advertising (except for a few like "propeller TV" as that's a non-profit thing). The more people watching, then the more the advertiser pays. As mentioned elsewhere, some money can also be made with TXT things, competitions, merchandise, etc.

However, when I first tuned in, I noticed there was no adverts on the channel. (They would need to seek a deal with a TV advertising specialist like Dolphin TV first, who handle the adverts for POP). So that would need to change if they are to continue.

IMO this is somewhat of a rush job from Chart Show to launch an anime channel before the competition.

Ok, to be honest, the only decent show on Anime Central is Bleach. The other shows are really mediocore, and it loses my attention quick. And I don't think 9PM is the greatest time to start the channel... Overall the channel looks disappointing.

Planetes/Escaflowne/FMA>>>>>>Bleach.

Wheres Ghost in the Shell in your sentence...

Ninjax, All the other shows are awesome. The only show that you should deem as rubbish is Transformers Headmasters.

The only weak link in the lineup is Transformers and that is more to do with the dated animation and awful dub. Everything else is good quality and makes for a strong and varied lineup.

Headmasters is what would happening if the cast of Monty Phython went into anime
YOu konow, with the right amount of damn giving, the Takara Trillogy could of gotten a nice Ocean Group dub consistnat with the Unicron triliogy.
