Tbh mine wasn't well packed from AL either.
It arrived in an oversize UPS mailer padded with 4 small airbags(all burst) loose in the box and nearly broke out of it. Thankfully the set itself was also wrapped in bubble wrap and undamaged.

The worst I got from AL was the Escaflowne UE. It arrived with a broken inner box and I got it replaced, which was also broken. Tbf the main issue with that was poor design rather than shipping damage. If I think about the UK retailers that I buy physical releases from, very few, if any, use bubble-wrap in their packaging as standard like Anime Limited do. Although, I would expect a business that sells boutique or collectible Blu-rays to use protective material.
Every place I buy from usually just sling it in a cardboard envelope or small box and that's it. Sometimes you might get a padded jiffy bag. To be fair though, I've never had anything (Blu-ray wise) damaged to the extent that I felt I needed to return it.
Thankfully it sounds like the bubble-wrap saved yours.
Why bother waiting for AL to update their listings, when AoL already have it available to pre-order. Not to mention its £10 cheaper so why pay the extra.Bleach (2004) set 2

Why not just wait for a sale on the bleach sets inbetween the CE boxes
One point of note, there is now a £3.50 delivery charge for UK orders under £50
Sorry if already posted; Site refresh is live, details in the blog

Well, it was fun while it lasted.
Edit: May well have to order Bleach set 2 from AoL now. Can't see Anime Unlimited being worth it any more with the £3.50 postage for orders under £50.
So, the site update seems to be a good time to bring this up. I'll preface this by saying that I am not a lawyer, nor am I particularly knowledgeable in legal matters. That said:
In regard to AL's Anime (Un)Limited subscription service, there is currently only a single page about it on the site that I can find: the sign-up page (which I can only find via searching, it doesn't seem to be directly linked anywhere). There is currently no way to view your subscription info/status, nor a way to cancel it, and they don't send you reminders for upcoming renewals.
As far as I can tell, both of these facts mean AL are currently in violation of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, where they are required to send notices of upcoming renewals, and allow an "easy exit" of a subscription.
