We wouldn't want it competing with those Yu-Gi-Oh! screenings that are over, or that one day of A Silent Voice on general release. It's got to be in its own month out of the way, heaven forbid people see two whole films in the same month. You must be some sort of madman wanting it in February after we had Yu-Gi-Oh!Looking like a really great simultaneous global release...

In Anime Limited's original statement regarding the delay, they noted that it was down to manpower - basically, these releases require a lot of time and resources to organise, promote etc.We wouldn't want it competing with those Yu-Gi-Oh! screenings that are over, or that one day of A Silent Voice on general release. Interestingly, DBZ is the one anime film with a proper release since Yu-Gi-Oh! Bonds Beyond Time that my preferred local cinema didn't screen.match Manga's DBZ push
Just filter by film on the Showcase and Picturehouse websites. Is there a list of cinemas that are showing the SOA movie? As I would like to see it but I doubt any of my local cinemas will be showing it.
Is that the only cinemas it's being shown at?Just filter by film on the Showcase and Picturehouse websites.
From the blog post:I thought I'd read they didn't want to steal away from other anime's theatrical spotlight as it were.
Your Name has had the widest theatrical release of any recent anime and had heaps of praise from mainstream press, like Empire etc, so...Well, it just seems Manga in general are better at marketing and getting anime in the cinemas. Even Cineworld had some screenings of Ghost in the Shell (not a huge amount, but at least some).
It's only listed by them so far. But AL haven't actually announced the date yet, so they're probably just early. I doubt Cineworld, Odeon and Vue are going to skip it entirely. Is that the only cinemas it's being shown at?
Your Name was also available at an additional cinema near me compared to DBZ. The cinema responsible for all 5 of the screenings I attended. I'd likely have only seen it twice if it was at only the same cinemas as DBZ.Your Name has had the widest theatrical release of any recent anime and had heaps of praise from mainstream press, like Empire etc, so...
Both Vue and Odeon are closer than Picturehouse for me, only marginally for Odeon to be fair, but I'll pick Picturehouse over them for anime any day.Hopefully Vue and Odeon show it as they are the only cinemas near me.
