Also, when (if at all) will you guys be putting Kill la Kill 2 on the AllTheAnime Store?
Well thank god I seen this, I had no idea it was coming on the 2nd, dunno why I thought it was the 20th for some reason (I'm sure there is something on the 20th I have to buy, March has a lot of games and such I want too), not that it matters I guess as the money would have been there anyway.Jeremy_Graves said:Jatz said:I just got around to reading this weeks Newswire and I noticed that Kill la Kill is scheduled for March 2nd, but Amazon and Zavvi have to set for March 16th. We've always said 2nd March since we announced it but we are aware the Amazon listing has said otherwise. We're still aiming for the 2nd but if there's any change to that we'll be sure to say.
As for our web shop, we generally aim to get pre-orders on the site a few weeks before release, but we're in the process of giving the site a bit of a makeover at the moment. It should be on there soon all going well.

They probably won't move a massive amount of copies, but with the UE/CE format + a cheaper version down the line strategy I think these shows could do well economically. Recent titles like the first two I mentioned above have been very well recieved by English speaking fans and they're both being released in the US. Barakamon's manga is also being released by Yen Press, but if anyone's to take a chance on these I definitely think Anime Limited would be the best choice!

Try Tsuritama coming out next month. It has quite the SOL feel to it, even though there is an overarching plot, and much weirdness.
EDIT: It's on Crunchyroll for a try before you buy...
No. I believe a sequel was on Crunchyroll and some point, but I didn't bother with it since I hadn't seen the original...Lutga said:Also - legit question; has anyone ever released Genshiken in the UK? Getting the first and 'second generation' series out on Blu-Ray would be amazing.
I haven't seen any of Hyouka or Amaburi, I wouldn't mind to have Chuunibyou but Tamako Market... that falls in under "I'd put it on my Amazon wishlist and if someone bought it for me I'd probably get around to re-watching it eventually". Nichijou I wouldn't mind dipping back into from time to time, and would have if I'd realised it was still on Crunchyroll before it was taken down (I remembered it being on AoD and forgot it was on Crunchy too until too late).DesuDayo said:Kyoto Animation productions are great, though i'm not too keen on much of their newer stuff
It's generally assumed that it tanked in the US since the cancelled the last Limited Edition and the OVA was sub-only.Dannielle said:Beez previously released Lucky Star in the UK, I think it went OOP pretty quickly thanks to the riot incident so numbers might not be all telling.
Streaming is usually a bit of a mixed bag. Sometimes you get broadcast versions, sometimes you get the home video versions. The version on Netflix most likely uses the same materials as the simulcast since there's isn't a BD release here or in the US yet.Jon O Fun said:After watching the first 5 mins of Tokyo Ghoul on Netflix I noticed it was the HEAVILY censored version. Please tell me this is just a streaming rights thing and the Blu ray will be uncensored? I'm not a gore hound but it destroyed Deadman Wonderland for me having big black lines across the screen every 4 minutes
(sorry if this has already been answered elsewhere)

Also I cannot wait for Escaflowne to be released! I just hope it can be played on DVD players and is in my price range!
Also, I love that you're selling a Patema Inverted mug. Is there any other kinds of merch like this you hope to sell?

The version that was aired in TV and streamed online was a censored version of the programme, but I can confirm our home video release will be uncensored

How uncensored is uncensored though? Is it completely completely uncensored, or is it Deadman Wonderland Uncensored as in we'll show you as much as we can without getting ourselves arrested uncensored (sorry you can't see eyeballs being plucked out in HD graphic detail)?

Heh, I'm forever putting in / taking out the English unfriendly BD version from my basket on Amazon, it's just a bit too wordy to memorize all the important parts.Lutga said:I'd definitely be up for a Bluray rescue of millennium actress.
