4K Blu Ray collection & Upcoming Releases discussion thread

I honestly have no idea how people watch those transfers and say they are acceptable, I get people wanting to watch these movies and finally own them but these are beyond hideous and revisionist. I have never seen True Lies or The Abyss and I would like to watch them but there's no way I am watching or supporting these horrible releases.

Instant purchase for me, I wonder if BFI will release Yojimbo and Sanjuro in a similar way. Knowing Toho, it might be some time before we get those.

Not sure if this is the best thread for it, however, I think a few people got the recent Blair Witch Project release from Second Sight on here (including myself). They announced a disc replacement programme today due to an audio track error.

Twin Peaks: from Z to A is getting a standard release in early 2025. The original release of From Z to A, with all the physical nik naks, was limited to only 25,000 copies globally, and is only available second-hand for stupid prices. So confirmation of a standard release with the same discs is excellent news; From Z to A was the only way to access the 4K episodes of the pilot and part 8, as well as the hours of exclusive bonus features that aren't included on any other release.

The set includes all three seasons plus the film "Fire Walk With Me". I think the 4K episodes and the exclusive bonus features makes it worth a double dip for me. Hopefully this gets released in the UK as well, otherwise it'll be an import job.

That's cool. I own the existing two boxsets already though.
