4K Blu Ray collection & Upcoming Releases discussion thread

Arrow Video appear to be giving out 20% off codes via email. Not sure if it’s everyone or just specific accounts but it works with pre-orders as well. Nabbed the Chucky Boxset, Carlito’s Way and a few UHD Pre-order titles, City of the Living Dead & Invasion of the Body Snatchers, for £24 each.

It's hilarious that Arrow have done a deal with Warner - pretty much the final boss of film catalogs - and they have licensed Clash/Wrath of the Titans and The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Hopefully there's better things to come.

Silence of the Lambs is fantastic, obviously.

Willing to bet U.N.C.L.E and Titans collection are kind of a 'proof of concept' for Warner & Arrow.
Like let's see what you can do with these mid tier films before we let you have a go at the top shelf stuff 🤷‍♂️
And to be fair for mid films (I actually really liked U.N.C.L.E) they're pretty solid releases.

I saw that there is a new 4k boxset for the Matrix that includes the new movie and the Animatrix series. I already own the last 4k boxset that was only just the original trilogy though so that's annoying.

It's really hard to get the animatrix so I'm tempted to swap.
The Italian 4K boxset I got a few years ago had all 4 movies, got it for €15 from Amazon. It didn't have the Animatrix though.

Good price. But I would love to have the Animatrix on disc honestly.

I haven't seen the new movie yet either so there is a bit of value there too (even though I don't hear good things about it). Double dipping on an expensive boxset doesn't really feel good though. :/

Thank you for bringing this to my attention! I've wanted the Animatrix on blu ray for a long time. I totally missed that they released this. I'll definitely buy it.

AllYourMusic’s eBay storefront has some new 4K releases as part of their buy 2 get 25% off deal - I picked up a selection of titles including South Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut and Team America: World Police. They even have Unearthed Films’ new Collector’s Edition release of The Guyver as part of the deal.

The next Columbia Classics set has been leaked - see this thread.

Included titles:
  • All the King's Men (1949)
  • On the Waterfront (1954)
  • A Man For All Seasons (1966)
  • Tootsie (1982)
  • The Age of Innocence (1993)
  • Little Women (2019)

I would much much rather they did away with these sets and released these individually but I might actually buy that one - On the Waterfront, The Age of Innocence, and Little Women are all tremendous. Why the latter didn't get a UHD on initial release was baffling.

So we are finally getting silence of the lambs in the uk on 4k and Desperado I've not seen for a very long time.
Yes, and the colour grading issue for the first 20 minutes of Lambs that the Kino Lorber release has is being fixed too.

Arrow screwed up the colour grading on conan the barbarian it has red tint.i don't know about the second conan film because I've not watched it yet.oh and I robocop 2 on 4k on Saturday.the picture quality is very good.

I was tempted, but upon reading the extras are not subbed, along with the booklet not being translated, I think I can wait for a cheaper release.

also not too fussed about minus colour, so if that goes from a standard edition, so be it.
