Makoto Shinkai - Is it just me or... has he gone worse?

Just something I want to express whilst I'm on in the dead of the night, after going through two bittersweet movies. One of them is "Garden of Words", the other being "Wolf Children". I want to get it out of the way that "Wolf Children" is the second best film in Hosoda's career (first being The...

    The General Conversation Area

    I should really post often on here. I keep thinking it has been last week since I posted on here, yet I realised it has been a number of years. So much stuff has happened. ;-;

Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet Second Season Announced

Re: Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet Second Season Announce I'm struggling to think of how Gargantia can progress. I know they lingered onthe remains of the mech where the Hideauze made their home on, but then the Alliance can make an appearance any time.

Your Top 5 Most Wanted UK Anime Licenses? 2013 Edition!

Psycho Pass Level E Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day (Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai) Kara No Kyoukai Bakemonogatari (Yet... I kinda disliked it in the end. It's weird. It has more good elements than bad, but I absolutely hated Mayoi and Nadeko). Voting for Psycho...

    I still like Anime, but...

When I said "The Anime Fandom usually drills into the head that Cartoon sucks", I meant from the majority of the anime community on the internet. You know, places like MAL and such. I don't get it from here. If you want another western animation that's more 'serious', I do recommend Tron...

    I still like Anime, but...

The topic was about me finding love and quality in Western Animation again, which is making me dissatisfied with Japanese Animation. If we are comparing the current output, then I found myself looking forward to the next episode of Gravity Falls rather than what is coming out of Japan. And I am...

    I still like Anime, but...

...maybe not as obsessive as I used to be? Actually, I still love anime. I still get excited over some new ones in the current seasons and I still look back fondly on my favourites like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Serial Experiments Lain, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. Hell, I...

    SOPA Needs To Be Stopped

We have signed it, but it doesn't come into effect until the EU gives it approval in June. Plenty of time to arrange a protest, build up a solid case against ACTA and get more people onto the cause.

Sony buys Dolphin Broadcasting - Potential for an Animax UK?

As other has said, we did. Back in 2007. It flopped (it didn't make enough, but I hold up another theory that it didn't do enough to secure more rights for airing and a lack of communication, which could cause its downfall). Besides, anime find more success on the internet through...

So I'm going to have the internet cut off.

Let's say 'buy'. Also. I dislike NGE. Thought I throw it out. I have some backlog of DVDs such as Rahxephon, Texnolyze and Bacanno! So I'd be trying to watch them. Always been meaning to buy that actually. I'll add FLCL and Sumarai Champloo to the list.

So I'm going to have the internet cut off.

So any anime recommendation that I'll download whilst Sky are taking a few weeks try to fit in a phone line and broadband where other providers take less than a week to sort that out when it comes to moving house. Not really a fan of the long-running shounen series. And... well, I guess I...

Shakugan no Shana III to air this fall

Ditto the sentiments. In High School, I loved the **** out of Shana. Now that I look at it now, it's mediocre at best. Not really interested in Third. Besides, Persona 4 anime for me!

what you guys doing this summer 2011

Still looking for a job. Just found out that I can apply for Job Seekers, so I'm jumping on that to save enough money to pay board once the child benefits dropped (the only reason why my mum hasn't demanded rent) before I head off to Uni on the 19th September or I find a job. Either way...

The 3DS set to be hit by pricecut and 20 free games

To be fair, they didn't have to give away anything, especially since Retailers were cutting down the price of the 3DS by a vast amount. I got mine for £180 and... even though the lineup is disappointing, it is a pretty good kit. You could say the same for the PS1 to the PS2. Xbox to the Xbox...

    Dead Island

It is still very RPG-ish, as there's sidequests and such. It's not really comparable to Left4Dead, especially as it isn't about getting from Point A to Point B to complete a 'level'. It's more similar to Fallout/Borderlands in terms of design. Also, very little firearms and more slashy-weaponry.

Persona 4 to be made into Anime by Aniplex

So what is the name of the studio that is developing it? Or isn't that confirmed? I thought it was Index, but then I remember they own Atlus. PS: This anime deserves 51 episodes. PSS: The reason I dislike A-1 Pictures is because not only of their shoddy work on Persona Trinity Souls...

Persona 4 to be made into Anime by Aniplex

Persona 4 anime announced http://www.moetron.com/2011/04/09/perso ... announced/ The studio to back* the anime is Aniplex. I'm going to remain cautiously optimistic because Trinity Soul wasn't all that great. Edit: Keep forgetting Aniplex don't develop anime. But I hope A-1 doesn't...

    Spring 2011 - First Impressions

I saw the Promos and to be fair, I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt because of the people who are working on it. Nakamura Kenji is the director, who has a part in Mononoke. And there's the Bacanno/Durarara Writers. All in all, it's a dream team. I try to bring myself to watch it, but it...
