Dead Island

I liked this game more when it was called Left4Dead.

This game has some very nice environments but I feel it looks more suited for something like Mirror's Edge, a fast paced single-play survival horror game but instead we're getting some co-op FPS nonsense.

It is still very RPG-ish, as there's sidequests and such. It's not really comparable to Left4Dead, especially as it isn't about getting from Point A to Point B to complete a 'level'. It's more similar to Fallout/Borderlands in terms of design.

Also, very little firearms and more slashy-weaponry.
 
I hope it's more Walking Dead than Dead Rising, so it's more survival than BLARGH DIE ZOMBIES because there are MORE than enough of those games for just about everyone's taste :p
