@BrokenPhoenix , @Just Passing Through , kinda logical then and could be expected, but thanks for the confirmation. Only my third anime order this year, in the past it were more busier times for me and my wallet :D
Hummm seems there is still an issue with the web shop. Had two titles from the Buy One Get One Free sale but when applying the subscriber 10% off both titles were charged at full price instead of one being for free. 🥶
Thanks didn't know this existed. I usually consume my anime on an Apple TV, and I know it should also be able to use VPN, but it has been ages ago since I last used this. Might check/enable it again to watch Ave Mujica.
Can be easily circumvented by using a VPN connection to the US. Just did a check after activating my VPN and Ave Mujica appeared in the simulcast season list on Crunchyroll. Actually Blue Miburo shares the same fate as Ave Mujica.
OK thanks all for the replies on this, for Aniplex and Discotek titles I'll have a look to use Stackry when ordering them from the US Crunchyroll store.
And off course also a big thank you to all who give tips in this thread, especially to @SkwigglesWorth for starting this thread and to...
So I has been a very long time since I last ordered anything anime related (doing big renovation works in my house which cost a pretty penny) but it seems it's even worse to get things from the US than it was before. Now the main Crunchyroll store no longer ships to Belgium or the Netherlands...
Might need to look into Stackry then. Saw your previous experiences with them and what the cost was, but when checking back then, their rates to Belgium were a lot higher than the UK.
They make it kinda hard these days to get our favorite shows on BD it seems.
Any other tips are more than welcome.
What web stores do people currently use for Aniplex releases?
Amazon US is very limited in the titles that can be shipped, and the Crunchyroll Store isn’t even allowing me to order Aniplex items and have them shipped to Belgium. Funny enough I was able to place an order back in November of last...
Communication and AL is not a good combo, to say the least. I’ve send them an email regarding the Nadia replacement disc on February 17th and we’ll about a month later it‘s dead silent on their end.
That way of dealing with customers gives them a very bad reputation.
Also pre-ordered A Place Further Than the Universe (Collector’s Edition) as I suspect this release will sell like hot cakes :)
While I was at it, also ordered these CE’s
Goodbye, Don Glees
Over the Sky
Pompo the Cinephile
Hula Fula Dance
Harmonie
Do hope so for you.
AL never send out a mail that the replacement was shipped in my case. Just got a mail from the local postal services (BPost in my case) that an item from outside Europe had custom charges. I was puzzled at first as I don’t have anything on order currently, so needed to check...
Thanks for all replies regarding the Nadia replacement disc and customs charges for … well anyone living in Europe. To clarify BPost charges 3,89€ over that pence value + 18,50€ customs administration charges (yikes).
Have not checked yet why on earth BPost charges 3,89€ VAT, maybe that is a...
Well seems my Nadia replacement disc also shipped to Belgium. Value on the package is stated as 0,01£ resulting in BPost charging me 22,39€ if I want to receive it.
Guess I’ll need to get in contact with AL on how they will solve this.
Supposedly so. You can always do a search in the Defective or Disappointing UK Anime Discs thread,
which found this for Accel World. Compared to the US release the UK/AU release also doesn’t contain the shorts.
